Firefly, built from Futch's kit, as seen on the table at Wonderfestival in Tokyo 2008, and in Model Kraphix Magazine

To continue with my no-frills, use-what-I-got customs. Gave an upgrade to Firefly. On the left is the Hasbro version, on the right is my upgraded version. Head is a repainted Storm Shadow, uniform is Hasbro Urban Camo, repainted Cobra boots, and about as much crap as I could put on him.

Our Xmas/wedding present from the incomparable Mr Cruet was the DVD set of Firefly, the fantastic Joss Whedon series. I loved it, it was so right up my street. Drew was staying with us, as part of his whistlestop Xmas tour, and we watched all 15 episodes over about 36 hours, although we did stop to got to the pub have food, I went to a work meeting etc. I loved it, although it wasn't how I thought I'd spend my Xmas holidays.

Alternative title = dirty, naked Inara. sigh...

CCC Fidelia 2nd gen Firefly aka Starr

In Josh's first every firefly hunt, he caught 5 of the critters. One got away, one, well, never mind. Dad also caught one.

Some bug landed on my shirt. I was about to swat it, but then I realized what it was. I used to see them all the time as a kid, but now they're rare, here.

Last week, I was outside at night with the dogs, and I saw a lone firefly, blinking away. Hopefully, they make a comeback since I don't use any pesticides outdoors.

Spotted on a leaf in Westford, MA, USA.

EDIT: One of the kind members of the ID Please group (Hspauldi) identified this as a Firefly, (Photinus genus).

It was a cold day in March and Bob was taking a strole. Then he smelt something cooking so he turned around. Only to see firefly trying to burn him. It was him who was cooking!
