Lightning bugs or fireflies (Photinus pyralis) are the world's most efficient light producers. The lightbulbs we manufacture produce heat due to their inefficiencies, sometimes wasting as much as 90% of their energy as heat energy and using only 10% of it to actually generate light. 100% of the energy lightning bugs put into making light, actually makes light! Also, they can generate light throughout their entire lifecycles. Their larvae can produce light, and some lightning bug species' eggs can even flash when disturbed!
Photograph made in Clarence, NY.
Built this last year but just didn’t have a way to photograph it due to its size. The top part flies away as a glider-like craft while the bottom works as a Fire Fighting platform and rescue-raft deployment zone.
Wanted to do an action shot of my last scene with better lighting. I've overused this moc a lot so far but don't worry you'll only have to see it one more time, and it'll look completely different ;) thank you for your support Flickr. Be prepared for more posts soon also!
Thanks a bunch,

Somalia Industrial District. Forgotten, abandoned, destroyed. So what is DARKWATER up to? Why come back to a obliterated facility? That's what I'd like to know. That's why we're sending in troops to go find out. DARKWATER is sneaky and attacks quickly and viciously. We cannot let them attack us like they did the US.

An abandoned papermill virtually untouched by vandalism or graffiti. Not sure about the whole history but it dates back to the 1920s/30s.
