Being a more abstract-like picture, the light source is less important to note than in my other Bible Cartoons, which are more realistic in nature. Nevertheless, the light illuminating the eagle is coming from the left, casting shadows to the right.

Please note: Because this design has quite small text on it, I would recommend that you purchase the High Quality version, rather than the Medium Quality version, in order to be able to read the lettering.

I created this scene for my wife. It only took a few hours to complete version 01, which is pretty fast for me! She decided she would like the eagle to look browner; more like the bald eagle in real life, which the eagle is based on. So version 03 & 04 were created with that in mind.
I normally have a black keyline (outline) around the figures and objects in my scenes. Only the first version of the 4 scenes has that characteristic outline feature. And, in fact, I only added it after I’d finished the picture, whereas I normally draw the keyline first, scan it in on my computer and then colour up a scene.

Where the rubber meets the road ( All puns intended ).
Google's new browser has Gears baked in and when used to connect to Google's geolocation API the user get hardly any control. Compare to Fire Eagle's very fine grained user control. Plus, the selection in Fire Eagle can be set to expire on a certain date, Google's cannot.
My concern here is that Chrome is a preview of the way Android will handle privacy. Developers and consumers alike will be left wanting for privacy. Mobile AdSense advertising that exploits an Android phone's physical location is worth billions and billions of dollars to be sure - but at what price?
Et tu, Google? ( Or should I say "Et tu greedy sales staff in the AdSense department of Google" )

After reading about Blinkx and it's promise of annotation, I decided to try it.
First thing off the bat, it's a local install, like Joost, so it already sucks. Worse it's a Windows only client. Then while installing I got an error. Blinkx uses ActiveX. Strike two.
Finally I read this little gem in FAQs:

I see little value in this "Most visited" thing. I use yubnub.org as my home page and Ubiquity ( labs.mozilla.com/2008/08/introducing-ubiquity/ ) for everything else. Don't really understand what the motive for this was.
Example is Bright Kite's application settings. Bright Kite itself is just "OK", but the way it connects to my Fire Eagle account is excellent. Strangely everything Bright Kite has to offer is starting to be baked into all the carriers and/or mobile operating systems, that new Nokia "LifeviNe" "mobile life streaming" thing comes to mind:

Multiple fine grained control inside your Fire Eagle account provides you with everything you need to manage how applications, cloud services and other people use your geolocation data. It is my opinion that this is vastly superior to what Google offers the user.

I have removed the Isaiah 40:31 text from this picture.
I created this scene for my wife. It only took a few hours to complete version 01, which is pretty fast for me! She decided she would like the eagle to look browner; more like the bald eagle in real life, which the eagle is based on. So version 03 & 04 were created with that in mind.
I normally have a black keyline (outline) around the figures and objects in my scenes. Only the first version of the 4 scenes has that characteristic outline feature. And, in fact, I only added it after I’d finished the picture, whereas I normally draw the keyline first, scan it in on my computer and then colour up a scene.

This is all you get when the geolocation API connects to Chrome using Google Gears ( baked in by the way, nothing to install ) - and it totally sucks compared to the privacy settings in Fire Eagle. C- grade on this one for the brain trust at Google.
Fire Eagle's elegant user prompt to allow access for third party application to know your location. Clear, concise, polite and the "tone" and "language" give me so much confidence in Fire Eagle. I cannot praise Tome Coates, Chad Dickerson and everyone at Brickhouse enough. From the end user perspective, it doesn't get any better than this.
Setting itself apart from Google Chrome / Gears / geolocation API is Fire Eagle's ability to:
1) Temporally turn location awareness off for whatever reason the user wants and still keep the set expiration date in tact.
2) Completely delete all previous location information that exists, with one mouse click!
Made this Fire Eagle branded iGoogle theme in response to new Google Latitude mediocrity. Fire Eagle is a superior method of sharing your location.
I went through all the hoops to publish this iGoogle theme to everyone, so it will appear on the publicly available list - but apparently it has been rejected ( Insert Christian Bale rant here ).
