Meghan Claire is an experienced fine art model whose collaborative works have been published and exhibited internationally. She is dedicated to the creative process and to the creation of art that is beautiful, sensual, emotive and poetic. She is most often described by the artists she works with as resembling the women from Pre-Raphaelite paintings. When she is not modeling, she finds great joy in dance, yoga, organic gardening, traveling, swimming naked and frolicking happily in nature. She is originally from the Bay Area of California, and she is now based in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.

My last photo in black and white was the more profile composition in this same spot. However, as Rose nestled herself into the surface of the rock and repositioned, I saw a way to change the composition and went for a climb up the rock to explore what the extra elevation had to offer. This is what we worked on a little.
It’s a day that I look back on at the photos and feel that my feet were sometimes stuck in one spot, for the moments I didn’t explore I realise my mind just wasn’t 100% there. For the ones I did, I’m grateful that my mind was still trying and getting things to work!

Laura New Myers is an expressive artist who describes her collaboration with photographers "...to gratify a new flourishing requisition that I had come to find existed in this new age of chaos emerging personal expression... to persuede and promote divine intervention in the sense of ones "higher self", independent thinking, moral/ethical consideration, and scholastics through the art of silent, expressive, and allegorical story telling and last but not least to connect Arists from far and wide." We suffer loss and longing as we gaze through our window in quarantine.
Tuesday begins week 3 of working from home for me. It was an adjustment at first with some insomnia or early waking where I couldn’t go back to sleep, but for an introvert like me, it’s almost too natural. This social isolation feels normal now and that elicits mixed feelings by itself. During down time on weekends and after work, I’ve been editing. I’m almost halfway through editing my most recent shoot with this model, the extraordinary Carlotta Champagne. This shot is from our collaboration last year. The new shoot from mid February 2020 marks a stark departure.
35mm film.
I hope everyone else out there is hanging in there. We’ll get through this together, unless we don’t.

It’s been a year and day since my last model shoot and last studio shoot.
It’s been a year and a day since my employer sent my department home to work from home. We’re still working from home.
More than 535K US American lives have been taken from us, 2.6M worldwide. Cases and deaths are declining and vaccines are on the way.
I got my first dose of the Pfizer vaccine this Friday. I’m looking forward to things improving, but this year has sucked so far. I lost my cat of 15 years 7 February. I lost power for 4 days and water for 2 weeks due to the unprecedented cold and incompetence of state government and state regulators a week later. I’m still recovering from this and now one of my dearest family members is in hospital. The year can get worse. I hope it won’t.
