This little red squirrel is not about to share it’s prize with any other squirrels.

In the field to the side of our house there are three Shetland Ponies, and whatever winter coat they shed on the barbed wire, the birds soon take, I think this Blue Tit took about half a pony into its nest !!!

Go ahead...pick me up!

From the bottom of my heart I congratulate you and wish you all the best in the New Year!

Found this Knife while out and about shooting, has a belt clip so must have worked off and fell to the ground. More scary looking than sharp.

Found art in a an ice pool over grass and such. Minor adjustments converting from raw file.

Just a couple of crows arguing over a scrap of squirrel fur.

She wants it for the nursery, he wants it for his man-cave.

it was a brilliant golden afternoon.

I just stood at the historic bridge and looked at the captivating scenery.

everything was so quiet and affectionate just like an oil painting.

I finally knew why the book wrote: Venice is the city of falling angels.

bcuz it really is.

A cracking sunrise at Whitley Bay this morning, my first for over a week or more on the North East coast. Got a few other decent ones too will post a couple over the next few days

At surfs edge this Sanderling captured a Pacific Sand Crab. One of his friends saw this prize and quickly came over and tried to steal it.

Last one of this particular series. Found abstract art in a sheet of ice over grass. Minimal adjustment in post.

Thanks for taking the time to view my image. Your comments & faves are greatly appreciated.

Somewhere in Barcelona someone has found a novel place to keep their trainer.

A pair of my fellow hikers ignore the incoming storm and seek to name the many surrounding peaks that can be viewed from Mount Fremont and it's fire watch tower. From here I could see my recently visited Suntop and Kelly Butte watch towers. It was like the scene in LOTR where they perched to light signal fires across the lands.

The range finder.

This is as good as it got this morning.

All the elements were against us, wind, wrong tide, cloudy, lack of colour but great company with Alex Bell, Dave Surtees and John Carson at St Mary's lighthouse, Whitley Bay.

My novel "Finder, Keeper" has just been published and is now available worldwide from all major on-line bookstores.

Three years of my life went into this book. I am happy just to have a copy of the real thing in my hands, but hopefully some will derive as much pleasure from reading it as I did in writing it.

Australian-based buyers will receive a personally-signed copy.

Ti auguro soltanto quello che i più non hanno.

Ti auguro tempo, per divertirti e per ridere;

American Red Squirrel (Tamiasciurus hudsonicus)

Salt Lake County, Utah, U.S.A.

As I made my way back to the parking lot, I spotted a red squirrel high in a tree, completely fixated on something that didn’t quite resemble a pine cone. Confused, I walked closer—only to realize it confiscated a synthetic dog bone!

Gun Safety, keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot. Camera Safety, keep your finger on the trigger. Always. Ya never know what might happen.

While roaming around Natural Bridges State Beach in Santa Cruz, California, I was stopped, looking for some photons to capture.

Holding my camera away from my eye, (yes, I use the view finder), with my finger on the trigger, I spazzed for a second and pushed the button and accidentally got a shot off (note how I tie the two, guns and cameras, together here).

Probably not something I would have shot intentionally, at least not from this angle, but it kinda works.
