I purchased this camera on eBay about a year ago because I developed a nostalgic feeling about film after a few years on digital cameras. As a youth always wanted this camera, but could never afford it and used simple point and shoot 110 cameras instead. About ten years ago, I actually got myself a good digital camera, Rebel T6i, and actually started learning how to balance ISO, Aperture and exposure and really enjoyed using it and still do, especially on aurora photos. But when I take it out, was shooting hundreds of photos and shifting through the ones I want to keep. I started thinking back to film and decided to get this camera because it really forces you to stop and think about what you are doing as well as for having photos that seems to capture the warmth I remember from film. The is something really neat also about sending your film out for development and the excitement of receiving the photos about a month later in the mail and then sitting down with family and friends looking at them and recalling the memories captured. I am truly enjoying learning film from the perspective of using a fully manual camera and the challenges that come with no auto focus. Really do love this camera, and it is almost as old as I am. My daughter also got herself an AE-1 and we now go out for actual film shoots together. Our next step is to look into an actual darkroom.

What I call it anyway. Made me think of Katherine Ferrers...
'Katherine Ferrers (4 May 1634 – c. 13 June 1660) was an English gentlewoman and heiress. According to popular legend, she was also the "Wicked Lady", a highwaywoman who terrorised the English county of Hertfordshire before dying from gunshot wounds sustained during a robbery.'
