This National Parts Quarter project is taking forever… I just want to get this thing done, but I want to make sure I do every step right, and it's just mildly frustrating me lately.
I am filling the routed lines with wood filler so the space between the stains really stands out. The problem is that the wood filler sinksdown and creates this gap- and after it dries I have to follow the same process all over again: tape the stained wood, fill the gap up, and remove the tape. Then I have to wait for it to dry until I can move on to the next connecting segment.
I have gone through so much tape, and I can only do small sections at a time... so this is really becoming such a long, slow-moving project.

Workers called "fillers" used carts like this to load and deliver raw materials (iron ore, charcoal and limestone) to the "charging hole". In this image, the charging hole is in the corner of the background where you see the bricks.
Since my original stream got deleted or what not, I use a lot of filler photos.
This is what I count as a filler photo.
Another shot of Fort Rock Museum's General Store under the milky way. What an amazing place to shoot at night.

Grabbed the closest fast outfit to wear for a long wait in line at the “salon” and she looked too good to ignore.
Fillers Travel - Alexander Dennis Enviro 200 - WA58 NHX seen at Barnstaple Bus Station operating service 310 to Lynton on April 17th 2023
-- 21 feet away
-- rented Nikon D7200
-- rented Nikkor 500mm f/4 G
-- foggy conditions, though one cannot tell here
The combination of this D7200 with the 500mm f/4 is just so sweet... Sharp and great reach.
Enjoy!

I imagine the O-filler being a lover of strong, black coffee, and precise number of almonds, each day, around 5pm...
Has anyone seen the Curious Case of Benjamin Button? Is it just me, or was that film an awesome one?! Great story line...! And if you haven't seen it yet, I urge you to do so! Soon!
Anyway. I took this picture, in Hong Kong, on my P&S camera, didn't turn out too bad, despite it being in an awfully lit place, and I was a little rushed. But it was actually a nice wall mural of buttons... all glued to the wall.... certain sections with different colours. If I had more time, I would've taken shed loads, but my cousin and auntie were waiting for me.

Christmas Day sunrise at Durdle Door, Dorset
Merry Christmas everyone.
Having got the shot of the sun just as it rose I moved and waited for the light on the sand to swing around to where I was. Liked the way the light fell on the sand so got a 'stocking filler' shot.

Special shout-out to the young lad who insisted on standing 0.5m or less behind me and when I asked (politely) if he would give me a bit more space for Covid said to 'Chill it's Christmas day" as according to our buffoon of a Prime Minister we can't catch Coronavirus on Christmas Day according to the lad!! Even more unimpressed when his mother felt it was OK he stood that close and if I had a problem I should wear a mask! She definitely should have known better. I would have put one on if I'd have realised people like them were around - not that it actually would stop him behind me breathing the virus in my direction. No wonder the number of cases is sky rocketing with that sort of attitude. Guess I have a week to 10days now to see if I've caught it.
Please stay safe everyone and obey the rules wherever you are. Vaccine is on the way but it will be a few months yet before the majority of people have had it.As of 00:01am 26th Dec. I can't now shoot in Dorset or New Forest which are my normal 'hunting grounds' will have to try to find some woodland locations near me.

In all honesty, this is a very young Dusky Moorhen, battling its way through thick weed covering a pond in Sandy Camp Road Wetland.
