I modeled for a more than life-sized image of Christ which was commissioned to hang over the altar at a Roman Catholic Church in ? Kansas City.
A moment, frozen in time...
The movement of the waves, of the splashing water, and of the nymph emerging from the ocean - instantly stilled.
[Getting this frame right was as much a challenge for the model as for the photographer wading waist-deep in the water - this was shot, not in a placid swimming pool but in the sea, and the force of the waves is visible from the picture]
[Bindiya is a young figure model splitting her time between her native Goa, and Mumbai. She loves swimming and the sea.]
Bindiya's own Flickr site is now online, she has a terrific portfolio on it.
in the usa people are generally very freaked out by nudity. i know in most other countries especially in europe the natural human figure is more accepted as beauty! i often feel like i wish i lived in europe as i agree with that way of seeing human beings. i love the sculpture park is oslo norway...vigland....and i work as a figure model full time. i love the natural human form. male or female. www.shannonkringen.com/figuremodel.htm
