A fifth leg study. I was given good advice to be more decisive with my lines, which I have tried to do here. Hard to do when you feel so insecure about the lines but, again, with practice I will get there!

Figure drawing from Project of the Living Artist, Brooklyn, NY

Workshop: "Dynamic Figure Drawing"

Date: Monday, July 6 from 7-9pm

Instructor: Marcelo Novo

A figure drawing is a drawing of the human form in any of its various shapes and postures using any of the drawing media. Life drawing is a drawing of the human figure from observation of a live model. A figure drawing can be a sketch on its own merit, or a study done in preparation for a final more finished work. Students will learn basic ways to create a drawing of a human figure from life, understand proportions, and use different techniques such as graphite pencils, charcoal, etc. There will be a model for the workshop.

...collaborated on this project. He drew it and I copied it...for a class assignment.

Working with the WC Pencil theme, I used General's Sketch & Wash pencils here. I like the look of it but was struggling because I feel I have more control over the charcoal and pencil. But I will do more of these studies. 4x6 on rough wc paper.
