This is the fifth of a set of charcoal drawings with a focus on the placement of light in the portrait.

 

A manikin was introduced for added complexity. This was a long pose lasting for eight twenty-minute sessions.

Finally did some figure drawing! It has been atleast 3 years, but I plan to start going every week in hopes of getting better.

for this one I started with weird blind contour drawing and sorta just filled in the details with markers.

I decided to challenge myself and draw one study of a foot every day for a month. I always sucked at drawing feet and hands so this exercise is necessary.

So fare I'm fare a whey from "proper study" and still have problem with perspective of my calves.

I think that was her name... No it was. We worked with her a lot.
