Sketched with pastel pencil from a live model.

The very last drawing we did, again of a nude model. This is ink (pen and wash) plus watercolors.

Drawn for my life drawing class at Jackson College in Jackson Michigan; February 27, 2019.

Black chalk (aka Verithin colored pencil) and white charcoal on sized paper.

One of the last few drawings we did, of a nude model. Picture is kind of fuzzy.

Day 24 “Shallow Stream”

Or “Up a creek, where’s the Paddles” I thought this would go faster on the iPad. It did not.

It's been a while since I did a traditional charcoal drawing. This is the second one I've done in the last couple of weeks. I was especially pleased with the way this one came out. I think some of the stuff I learned working with silverpoint and colored pencils carried over.

Pastel on paper

Black chalk (aka Verithin colored pencil) and white charcoal on sized paper. The paper was stained with coffee and then coated with diluted amber shellac. I really loved doing the highlights on the robe!

Last night I went to a life drawing event for a few hours. This weeks theme was "I Love Lucy", we had a great model and a few brews! I'm incredibly rusty, I dont think I did any figure drawing in years... time to change that!
