Der Ort und die Bucht liegen an der Südostküste der Insel, etwa 62 km von Palma de Mallorca und etwa 5 km von der Stadt Santanyí entfernt. Der Ort liegt in einer fjordartigen Bucht und war ehemals der Hafen von Santanyí. Die Bucht besteht aus zwei Teilen (Wasserarmen), die ein Y bilden.
Cala Figuera is a district of Santanyí on the island of Majorca, in the Balearic Islands of Spain, around 60 km to the south east of Palma. Cala Figuera is a small traditional fishing community. The town of Cala Figuera stretches from high cliffs to the south of the town to the fishing harbour at the end of a Fjord-like inlet which holds some of the most picturesque traditional buildings in the whole of Majorca, as well as a number of millionaires' mansions overlooking the scenic harbour entrance.

El mágico pueblo pesquero de Cala Figuera (significa higuera en castellano) está escondido entre acantilados rocosos, pinos e higueras al final de la bahía del mismo nombre.
Las fachadas de las casas de pescadores y los cobertizos de los barcos lucen de color blanco y ocre.
El brillante verde de las contraventanas es un sorprendente contraste con los edificios blancos.
Muchas casas de pescadores tienen una terraza al lado del agua, bajo la cual se encuentra un cobertizo para botes.
Domina la arquitectura típica mallorquina con palmeras, hibiscus y almendros en los jardines.
Un lugar para recordar y visitar.

The charming fishing village of Cala Figuera is tucked between rocky cliffs, pine trees and fig trees at the end of the bay of the same name. The facades of the fisherman's houses and boat sheds shine white and ochre and the rich green of the shutters makes for a striking contrast with the bright buildings. Many fisherman's houses have a terrace leading on to the waterfront, where they moor their boats in sheds.
