This is an F22 Raptor that can fly at 1500 MPH! I didn't quite understand what I was seeing when I looked at my photos - At first, I thought those were clouds around the jet! This is what it really is -
A VAPOR CONE also known as shock collar or shock egg, is a visible cloud of condensed water which can sometimes form around an object moving at high speed through moist air, for example an aircraft flying at transonic speeds. When the localized air pressure around the object drops, so does the air temperature. If the temperature drops below the saturation temperature a cloud forms.

The tail of the fighter jet was recently painted to commemorate 50 years of the iconic Wild Weasel mission. The Wild Weasel concept was developed by the United States Air Force in 1965, after the introduction of Soviet Surface to Air Missiles and their downing of U.S. strike aircraft over the skies of North Vietnam. During the Vietnam War the Soviet SA-2 SAM threatened to halt air operations over North Vietnam. To suppress and destroy this threat, the U.S. Air Force countered with the courage and skill of the Wild Weasels, who flew some of the most dangerous missions in Southeast Asia. Actor John Phillip Law passed away May 13, 2008. It is inconceivable to me that any other actor will ever equal his performance as Rittmeister Baron Manfred von Richthofen, the Red Baron, in the 1971 film Von Richthofen and Brown. He portrayed the Baron so as to define the role itself.

An oft encountered commercial postcard depicting Rittmeister Manfred von Richthofen accepting congratulations from Generalleutnant Ernst von Hoeppner (Commanding General of the Air Service). This version was reproduced in the 1930s from the original Sanke card - presumably under licence, by a firm using a winged Swastika as their logo.
At von Richthofen's memorial service, his mother was speaking to Generalleutnant von Hoeppner, who advised her that "We have no replacement for your son in the whole Air Force".

After his 70th kill, Richthofen was recommended to receive the oakleaves to the plm but finally this was rejected by emperor Wilhelm II because of the regulations of the Order pour le mérite. According to these regulations the oakleaves recipient had to win a battle. "Richthofen won a lot of battles!", General Ludendorff shouted. But nothing came of it..the Militaer-Cabinet awarded him the Red-Eagle-Order 3rd class with crown and swords (awarded only 10 times ever in this combination) instead of the much more often awarded oakleaves.
MARINE CORPS AIR STATION MIRAMAR, Calif. - A McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing) F/A-18 "Hornet" with Marine Fighter Attack Squadron (VMFA) 314 takes off en route to a simulated dog fight against the Air Force’s F-16 "Fighting Falcon's" with the 310th Fighter Squadron at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., March 16. The two squadrons are training their pilots in basic fighting maneuvers from March 16 to March 24 at MCAS Miramar.
At a restaurant in Stans - 2 Mirage III's exposed. Their home base at the dissolution was the Military Airfield at Buochs, where ist was equipped with Mirage IIIRS . Fliegerstaffel 10 carried as their coat of arms the AMIR badge (AMIR = Aufklärer Mirage (reconnaissance Mirage)). This badge shows on a white ground a falcon head drawn with black lines, the neck of which is filled with blue color.
