While on the subject of Swedish first day covers with stamps featuring transport subjects I thought I'd chuck this one in.
Having just emigrated to the big city - Bournemouth! - from Somerset where I went to a village school comprising just two classes both with lady teachers and the family only having acquired a telly the previous year football was something of a mystery to me in 1958. Consequently I don't recall watching any of the games and have no idea how TV coverage compared with today's blanket version.
Having been partially converted in the early '60s I was confirmed in 1966 and have followed the faith ever since.
The 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup is the seventh FIFA Women's World Cup, the quadrennial international women's football world championship tournament. The tournament will be held from 6 June to 5 July 2015.

Yesterday the Dutch team beat Japan with 1:0 in the FIFA World Cup, and of course afterwards we took to the streets to celebrate, flying our favorite color, which happens to be Orange (also the color of our Royal family by the way!), that we proudly wear during any sports event and our world-famous Queensday. It really helps to create the feeling of being part of one huge, happy team, try it, it's fun and good for you :)

Qatar Airlines Boeing 777 A7-BAX lines up at Dublin Airport for takeoff to Doha following a repaint in Dublin.
The aircraft carries Fifa branding no doubt to do with Qatar hosting the World Cup in 2022.

Brazil's dreams of making a return to a World Cup final in the Maracana were shattered in the most agonising manner as Germany inflicted on the hosts one of the most remarkable defeats in the 84-year history of this competition.
Tears flowed like water in the Estadio Mineirao in Belo Horizonte as before even half-an-hour had gone, Brazil were 5-0 down, and the final scoreline was 7-1, equalling their worst-ever defeat, 6-0 to Uruguay back in 1920 before the World Cup had even begun.
Two goals for Toni Kroos and Andre Schurrle , plus one each for Thomas Muller, Sami Khedira, and record-breaking 16th World Cup goal for Miroslav Klose saw the visitors delirious, while Brazil begins a period of soul-searching such as never before.
Germany will go into Sunday's World Cup final at the Maracana to face Argentina or Holland on the highest of highs.
