I took this photo yesterday while on my morning walk.
Thank you to SkeletalMess and Lenoirr for the textures.
Iowa Interstate 516 and 513 bring the CBBI train across the frozen fields of Walcott, IA, on 3-1-15. It's always cool to see the double stacks along with the manifest freight on these trains!
You'll remember me when the west wind moves
Upon the fields of barley
You'll forget the sun in his jealous sky
As we walk in the fields of gold.
In the Woodford Valley near Salisbury is a very nice pub and eatery called the Wheatsheaf. The lyrics above are painted on the walls of the beer garden.
This shot was taken not far from where the Author of that famous song lives, and I wonder if the many fields of gold on the Salisbury Plains inspired the lyrics.

In this light painting photo, an old tractor, claw foot tub and barn sit in a field with many memories of an old farm. Photo taken on an abandoned farm in Southern Ontario. Lighting inside the tractor and barn was accomplished using portable LED lighting sources.
Somewhere around Chappell Hill, Texas. Many of the Bluebonnet fields are going to seed. We still managed to see quite a few bluebonnets and other pretty wildflowers:)
Finished work this morning at six, looked like it could be a good sunrise and the rain had stopped, so I darted off home and grabbed My gear and mountain bike and rode to a local field to grab some bale shots. Pleased I went out, I got a few shots I like. Made this one just before I left the field, had packed My stuff away then noticed the sky changing with some fast moving clouds.
A hundred and seventy years ago, 200 Hunter invaders sought refuge in this windmill from British and Canadian forces in a four day siege.
In the end, as many as 50 were left behind in a common grave, 18 were executed, 60 sent to the British penal colony in Australia, 40 were acquitted and 86 were pardoned.
Their counsel was a young Kingston lawyer, Sir John A. MacDonald .... soon to be the first Canadian Prime Minister.
Some thirty years later that windmill was converted to a lighthouse.

Back again after an exciting trip to the Normandie.
But this is a scene you will find many places in the country side in Denmark right now.
Field of canola, York, Western Australia. Holga 120WPC pinhole camera. Fujicolor Pro 160S. Scanned on Epson 4490.
A set-aside field near Midhurst, West Sussex. Full to the brim with poppies and the buzz of busy bees.
Can you notice some details? Maybe I had been awake for too long or maybe I was just awed by the beauty of the scene because I noticed them only in post process. I've been like "WTF, how couldn't I see those when photog...". Nontheless this is what was anyway trying to shoot ;-)
Round the west side of Rowbank Reservoir is this view looking south from East Burnthills. The road leads down and to the right to Newmill Bridge, and onwards towards Newhouse :-)
On the weekend of the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, we visit an installation with 2,977 flags: one for each of the victims who perished that day. Being present, with rows of flags each representing a mother, father, partner, child, friend... is humbling.
This is a mosaic of 4 images, using my 200mm wide field image as the "backbone". M42 is from the 1000D and Megrez 72, Horsehead and Flame from the same kit and a more detailed close up of the horse itself using the 314L+ and Meade 115 trip.
Ein wunderschöner Anblick sind die Mohnblumenfelder. Vor allem wenn der Himmel sie so schön zum Leuchten bringt.
A beautiful sight are the poppy fields. Especially when the sky so beautiful they bring to light.
"Lavender field" is on my photography to-do list this year, really wanted a sunrise shot, with the early morning forecast not looking too great (would have had to leave home at 4:00am!) decided to have a trip out anyway as it was my first visit so I can plan for next year!
"...Tudo era aberto, as estâncias pegavam umas nas outras sem cerca nem tapumes... As divisas de cada uma estavam escritas nos papéis das sesmarias, e lá um que outro estancieiro é que metia marcos de pedra nas linhas, e isso mesmo quando aparecia algum piloto que fosse entendido do ofÃcio e viesse bem apadrinhado..."
