The Jardines de Alameda Apodaca is an absolutely beautiful and well maintained park on the north side of Cadiz. It has numerous fountains, sculptures and a variety of flowers and plants including two giant ficus trees that came from Cuba. While sitting in the shade, you'll also get great views of the Bay of Cádiz and Atlantic Ocean.

This huge mushroom-shaped ficus tree was growing on the grounds of Niua High School on Niuatoputapu Island, Tonga.
The Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary provided some amazing lush backgrounds for a photo shot of Balinese classical dancers in their colourful traditional attire. I particularly loved using the large fig trees with their dense aerial roots that grow over some of the disintegrating temple buildings as backgrounds. 07/08/2017 www.allenfotowild.com
Cuerva de Ambrosio. In Varaderos, Cuba. Beautiful cave, the guide is pointing out how the roots penetrate from above ground. there are at least 2 species of bats in here, easily seen just a few feet above your head.
Well, in fact this tree is a Ficus Tree which can be found in sunny Florida ~ also a little bouncing bunny rabbit sitting on the grass!

VIEW LARGE Praire Warblers migrate through South Florida in April but we also have a year round resident population ! They are in peak colors right now and you can hear them calling in areas with Mangroves. They are the only Warbler that we see nesting in the Keys, and mainly in the Mangroves. This image was taken at Fort DeSoto Park of a bright colored little guy !! Thanks for looking and have a great weekend everyone !!! We will put up our next image on Monday.
