Bryan and I stopped by Gomez today to see what's new with them, and I was really surprised to see what they had going on.
Here's the old body that they used to swap out with the Mountain truck. Looks to be in VERY good condition so hopefully they do something neat with it.
Heavy-duty nylon thread in various colors, for the "string" theme. Just for grins, I took this one using the Minolta 100mm macro lens from last week's photo, using the original Minolta bellows adapted to the Sony a6000. Individual threads are about 0.5mm diameter, and the width of the image is about 22mm, for a magnification of about 1.07. HMM!

Nonnengänse und Bläßgänse sind tagsüber in ihrem Überwinterungsgebiet auf wenigen Wiesen anzutreffen. Erst wenn diese nichts mehr bieten, werden andere Futterwiesen aufgesucht. Die Nacht verbringen sie im Vorland vor dem Deich auf leicht erhöhten Gebieten im Nationalpark Wattenmeer. Teilweise habe ich sie auch früh morgens auf den Wattflächen gesehen, von denen sie dann in der Morgendämmerung auf das Festland zogen.

For some of us, it is the beckon to remember, to raise a candle to the memory of souls long parted. For some of us, it is the home hearth of family, of friends, of companionship. For some, it is the starlight of hope strengthening our hearts against the fearsome foe. And perhaps, all of these are but aspects of the same -- holding close the flame of love that binds us as family, to persevere, to keep safe those whom we love. This is why we come together -- it is all love.
Can you feel the excitement in the air? Fantasy Faire 2024 opens in just a couple days, and I am SO READY for it! Builders, creators, performers, so many people have been working so hard to get ready, to create the Faire experience that we all know and love, to help lead this fight against the Unweaver -- to help eliminate cancer.
If you know me or have been following my photography/blogging (both altogether too scarce lately) you may recognise one of my favourite personas, my dryad. One of the things that I like most about my dryad is that it's not one outfit -- it's built up over several years from different creators. I love adding things to this look, and I've already found something new that I just adore. K9nnor has several new tattoos that are just perfect for my dryad, and are customisable enough to be good for yours. I'm wearing three of them -- Nature's Mask, Faeschach tattoo, and the Soft Spots tattoo. All three can be tinted to your taste. For me, I wanted greens to work with my dryad, but I've got some other ideas in mind for some of my other looks.
I also want to note that I try to use only new poses available at the Faire for photos during the Faire. These are both from a collaboration between Mysteria and PANIQ. Be sure to look for them at the Faire!
The Faire opens on Thursday April 18. There will be shopping, there will be performances, there will be role-play opportunities. There will be a quest, and there will be amazingly landscaped sims. And above all, there will be a community there united in the desire to stomp out cancers.
