RFL has such special meaning for me. And Fantasy Faire....from the first year til now....I don't think any of us around for that first year could have imagined how huge this all would grow. How every year the grid would stop, put on our wings and armor, pull out our imaginations and our wallets, and simply run wild with the magick in our souls.

This hotel was founded by a Dutchman, was originally called Hotel Oranje, and was a witness to bloody battles for Indonesia's independence, which contributed to Surabaya's title of "City of Heroes". In this antique boutique hotel we went on a tour of its luxurious rooms, and had a fantastic lunch at its Chinese restaurant: Sarkies.
