Part of my 9th assignment "Visual Intensity" in Sabine Sighicelli's MPV101 Fundamentals of Film Language class at Brooks Institute of Photography. Taken with a Minolta 7xi on Kodak Professional Ektachrome slide film. ASA 100, 1/125, f/8

The long chains of paper clips represent the polymer (Polyvinyl acetate) in glue.

The center paperclips represent the cross-linker, Borax.

ah, you are all saying-- it's not colorful or macro, can this truly really be a heidi pic??

the challenge for one of the scavenger hunts was to find some "commissioned" graffiti and my first 2 stabs were fizzles, hence this and the wall pic......... there is an old abandoned catholic school in town that the town fathers have been "studying" as to whether or not to rehab, sell, or tear down. during one of these forays into the process, someone must have commissioned the art work in the other pic. why you might ask, logically. because this and the graffiti wall are at the end of a large public parking spot-- tennis courts to the left, little league ball park to my back and to the right is a walkway to the dog park-- yep, very much the suburbs!!! the street itself is fairly well traveled, less than a mile from the police station, and police cars will sometimes park in the lot to catch unwary motorists. i think it highly unlikely that the immense size and scope of the graffiti on the red wall could have gone unnoticed-- for sure.......... this one cracked me up cause of the proximity to the dog park. someone has a sense of humor.

i kinda liked the gritty effect-- must go back and take a pic on a non-foggy day. briefly considered this for slider sunday but i have another one which is more me.

Lexis enjoying her favorite passtime. (Actually, she enjoys both stick AND ball. If only there were a game that combined the two...)

Pretty clever tie-in. Perhaps 15 years late.

The people looked like they wanted to go home but the dog could see some swans in the distance and was beyond excited despite the cold (his youth makes him brave!).

I'm trying damn it. Give me a minute.

Barney the Beagle fetching his hairbrush. Barney jumped into a pool and took a swim when he was 2 months old. Now that he's five months old, we discovered he really likes to fetch. Hmmmm, must have a retriever gene in there somewhere!
