Sometimes I see
How the brave new world arrives
And I see how it thrives
In the ashes of our lives
Oh yes, man is a fool
And he thinks he'll be okay
Dragging on, feet of clay
Never knowing he's astray
Keeps on going anyway

Lamego is an attractive town with Renaissance and baroque mansions overlooked by two hills. On one of the hills are the ruins of a 12th century castle, on the other is the monumental baroque Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora dos Remédios. A marvelous granite staircase decorated with tiles, fountains, small chapels, and statues leads to a baroque church with views over the town. The Sanctuary is one of the most important pilgrim centres in Portugal. It is conformed by a 18th century church with twin towers and a marvelous blue and white plaster interior, with sky-blue rococó style ceiling and gilded altar; however, despite being a vastly beautiful church, it’s eclipsed by the monumental baroque church in zigzag in that accesses the church. Said stairs are conformed of 686 steps ornamented with tiles, urns, fountains, and statues. On one of the terraces are 18 statues. In the center is a monumental obelisk of 22 meters high supported by mythic images. Both the stairs and the church are visited year round, but especially during September 8th, since it is the main location of the festivity of Nossa Senhora dos Remédios; during which devotees climb the stairs to ask for miracles.
The famous baroque church if Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora dos Remédios stands atop the city of Lamego, north of Portugal. A marvelous granite staircase decorated with tiles, fountains, small chapels, and statues leads to the monumental obelisk and further to a baroque church with views over the town.

Puerto Princesa is the capital of the island province of Palawan. The city has been acclaimed several times as the cleanest and greenest city in the Philippines. It is said it's thanks to mayor Edward S. Hagedorn - politician that locals seem to love and admire (and mention in every occasion). With a wide range of attractions ranging from beaches to wildlife reserves, Puerto Princesa is a nature lover's paradise.
People come to Puerto Princesa not only for the dive sites that abound in the area, but also for its wonderful festivities, amusement sights, beaches, water sports, and nature trails.
Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park - more commonly known as the Underground River. At over 8 kilometers in length, is reputably the longest underground river in the world. With its crystalline waters and spectacular cave formations, the Underground River is possibly Puerto Princesa's most popular attraction. The site was also declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1999. The winding path of the river is navigable via small pumpboats that depart from Sabang Beach. Travel time from the city proper to Sabang is about 1.5 hours.
Honda Bay - consisting of several islets with beautiful beaches, Honda Bay is the place to go to for swimming, snorkeling as well as beach and island hopping. Accessible via the Sta. Lourdes wharf which is 25 minutes away from the city. Pumpboats at the wharf can be hired to take visitors to the various islets on the bay.

At the ranch, over a 1,000 people went to celebrate the festivities of an early Thanksgiving. Live music was played both inside and outside with different melodies to please the crowd. Many enjoyed a bit of dancing, singing along or maybe just sitting back under a tree as bellies were fill. Happy Thanksgiving.
On Wednesday I had the pleasure of shooting in London with some friends and I am looking forward to sharing a few shots with you over the coming week. The highlights really were after dark; just check out the festivities going on along South Bank and the tip of the Shard lit green for Christmas. There's even a Christmas Tree thrown in there for good measure.
The market along the river bank is amazing, taking in the scene and all the smells is pretty awesome. Even spotted a few Vegan stalls which was lovely to see!
Tomorrow night is my works Christmas party - so felt this image was perfect for sharing! Have a good Friday guys and enjoy the festivities.

To the delight of the 'naughty' children, LOL
In pink and white...
Symphoricarpos, with common names in English of Snowberry, Waxberry or Ghostberry, is a small genus of about 15 species of deciduous shrubs in the honeysuckle family, Caprifoliaceae.
Common Snowberry (S. albus) is an important winter food source for quail, pheasant and grouse, but is considered poisonous to humans.
I had to angle them, the berries are really hiding under the leaves!
Thanks for visiting, Magda (*_*)

Give with your heart, NOT your wallet!
All the wrapping done?
Presents under the tree?
Political scaremongering about the fall-out of Brexit and Covid, strikes, fear.
A significant fall in spending generally leads to a recession.
It is global, so many have to go with less.
Weathering the storm we MUST, and you can either do it with a smile or a growl!
It is up to each individual, the outcome is the same...
Choose wisely.
Beware; small presents can often contain much more than the bigger ones?
Also, if it is given with much love and care... just add some of your gold-dust, the meaning will be there!
I wish you all the best and thank you, M, (*_*)

Best time of the year, a time when you can kick back and just watch the festivities unfolding. A time when you can sit and get pampered
Time again for Palpatine’s yearly Spring Fling, held in his Botanical Gardens. The Gardens, spruced up for all the festivities planned, is Palpatine’s way to boost morale and keep the Officers and Troopers entertained between missions. The only thing Stormtrooper Bruce is interested in is the Bake Off, which was delayed a week due to "health issues" with one of the judges. Thankfully, the Bake Off is back on, so STB and the guys are all geared up to get in and out so they can salvage what they can of their Movie Night.
TK-432: Well, once again, it’s obvious who was put in charge of the decorations this year.
TK-1110: Roger that. If the P’s nephew ever decides to go into event planning when he grows up, he’ll probably become a gazillionaire. Dude, maybe he’d let you bake all the cakes for his events!
STB: What? Are you loco? Did someone switch your oxygen supply with happy juice? We all know the P is training that kid to rule the universe when he grows up. But first he needs to learn how to sit still when he gets his photo taken with the Easter Bunny!
TK-432: Speaking of - the plan, once we get inside, is still for you to enter your cake in the Bake Off, meanwhile we’ll go toss some eggs, pet some bunnies, enter the three legged race, and once you’re done, we go get our picture taken with the EB, and then escape back to your quarters so we can finally get our Movie Night started. Right?
STB: Bro, that was perfect. You actually studied your “homework”! Since only us diehards are brave enough to enter the P’s Bake Off due to the Bantha Poo prizes, checking in should only take a few. I’ll come find you, then it’s photo time, and then we amscray when no one is looking!
TK-1110: Dude, your Bunny Mansion cake looks awesome, btw! But then, they always do. And a thousand times better looking than whatever-that-is, that Trooper behind us is holding.
STB: Thanks! I found a new recipe that’s totally awesome. The trick was to decorate it to fit the Spring Fling theme. I made a second one for us to enjoy tonight and you can tell me what you think my chances are. Hold on… is that the P’s nephew I hear?

Happy Easter to all who celebrate!
Yaowarat Rd is the main street in Chinatown in Bangkok. Barriers and people gather for festivities of New Year's 2018 for the upcoming parade. There are many vendors and stores on this street.
Second image in a series on seasonal festivities. This home raises thousands of pounds for various charities each Christmas. It's literally a traffic stopper in a fairly quiet suburb.
