My first black and white shot. Just snapped it without really thinking so I'm not worried about the composition. I have to say it really offers a different take on a scene. It's a lot more about tone and gradient rather then pure color. Prolly a good choice in low color, high contrast style photos.

I just thought that these were kind of neat looking.

Every fence post seems to have a lizard perched on top of it since the weather turned warm

I try to keep a look out for things in groups of three.

The fenceposts that caused all the controversy last year have been removed.

 

The segment of the trail that dead-ended into a dirt ramp was removed in November, and a new segment was to be installed connecting up to the sidewalk on SW Hall. Weather delays have kept this from being finished...

Corner post, Horrocks Pass

I saw this osprey clinging to a fencepost - resting? - as he faced into a 35-mph wind. (ID thanks to an online friend; I thought it was a hawk.)

I took this at Letchworth State Park in New York State.

This photo was adjusted and cropped in lightroom using black and white edits and sliders.

 

This photo illustrates the rule of thirds and I believe contains some nice lines
