On a threatened site in Strathspey, Scotland.

Set up my camera to photograph a robin. Didn't.

I took the camera outside this morning, thinking I needed to shoulder the photo-taking load today. Then I discovered that Schnookie has a photo excursion planned with someone from work. I wasn't going to bother looking at this, but something compelled me to anyway. And then I discovered I was in one of those rare "every photo I take is a special snowflake of awesomeness" so I uploaded a bunch. And here they are, all my special snowflakes. Heh.

As the temps drop today, the hoarfrost moves in. It was 3* out when this was taken and batterys are not fond of those temps.

A common sight in rural Alberta.

No sun today, so no chance for lens flare, but I had a few minutes to try this in lieu of Ulrike's advice.
