HFF!!
Is anything better than fresh caught seafood? I don't think so. Others must think so as well. People were on the dock waiting for the boats to pull in. I, myself, bought some. Not to eat. I wanted to get some stock photos of the the Sea Gulls. So, I ask, you know who, to throw the shrimp out in the bay towards the Gulls. Now really, how hard is it to throw shrimp in the direction I have the camera pointed in? Pretty hard for some people, apparently. He's throwing the shrimp straight up, to the left, to the right almost every direction except where I have the camera pointed. No thanks to him, I did manage to get some usable Gull images
HFF!!

Fences in the burbs are oh so common. All properties are bound by a fence. This is the most common, next is chain link. Not much varitey unless it engulfs a business, resturant or perhaps a house of GREAT value. But on a whole, this is all there is. So I try to find something special about the wooden fence. I thought the lighting was pretty cool. HFF
I don't go out much any more, but did go for short bike ride and I saw this. Like the colours of wild fall flowers. HFF and those who celebrate now Happy Thanksgiving wknd.

Black Jack's Galley at Port Isabel, Texas. I was there pretty early. I went to Port Isabel to see the lighthouse there. The light house didn't work..( I couldn't find a working lighthouse anywhere along the coast. Are lighthouse's a thing of the past? Anyway, this place was amazing from a photographers point of view. I got click drunk at this place..;)
HFF!!
This is the new Austin library. The red art work there has a pendulum, like a clock, on the bottom and it moves like a clock pendulum but it's not a clock..;)
I came home to a leaking pipe in the upstairs bathroom. Of course the water was dripping through the ceiling to the downstairs dinning room.
HFF!!
G'Ray Mahal Cafe and Lounge at 73 Rainey Street in Austin. I was working, with the SXSW festival, just up the street in a place called Lucille's and one of my flickr contacts came by..How cool is that. So, just in case, tomorrow I will be at the Palm Door on 6th Street from 1 to 7. Stop by if you can. However, since we're under flash flood warnings I doubt anyone will be there..;( Anyway, here's some more info on the cafe shown here.
The story of G'Raj Mahal begins with a culinary couple's vision to bring Western Indian cuisine to Austin, TX. Sidney (an Austin native) & Anthony (born & raised in Goa, India) opened G'Raj Mahal in 2009 as a food trailer. Having landed on a space just off of Rainey Street that had previously operated as a car garage, the name & feeling of The G'Raj was both evident & authentic from the beginning. A few tables multiplied into a few tents filled with more tables & before they knew it, Sidney & Anthony had won over the locals with their delicious comfort food & unique table service.
It's been a long time since I've posted a fence, but couldn't resist this wonky wire in the morning sun : )
HFF & Happy Weekend!
HFF!!
I took a friend of mine over to Temple, Texas which, is about 75 miles north of Austin, for an outpatient surgery. And while I was waiting for my I drove around town and spotted this Railroad and Heritage Museum. There were lots of interesting thing to see and shoot..:) Here's more info if you interested
Completed in 1911, the historic Santa Fe Depot houses the Temple Railroad and Heritage Museum and a working Amtrak Station. The Temple, Texas museum explores the history of the railroad and topics relating to local and regional history. The museum also regularly hosts changing temporary exhibits and educational programming. The museum’s collection of railroad equipment is displayed on the grounds, including three locomotives, railroad passenger cars, and cabooses on static display. Restoration work on this rolling stock collection is ongoing. The Santa Fe Depot is located next to an active railroad yard, where railfans can observe daily operations and traffic of the BNSF and Amtrak.

This use to be the entrance to someones property probably 50 years ago or so..:) It's now the outdoor patio for a restaurant/bar. I'm happy they left this standing. I'm probably imaging a better house that use to be there than what was.I'm thinking a cozy rock, farmhouse style house..;) but, probably not..;)
Happy Weekend
I just got the tail end of the storm. Lots of lightning and thunder. The house shook a few times and we got a lot of rain. we're all good and no damage
..HFF!!
This is man made but I still liked it and it works for FF. This is another one from the Island. There weren't many pretty shot to be had. I guess after so many Hurricanes you just get tired of rebuilding. I probably won't go back. For one thing, the 5 hour drive and the other is there just isn't that much to do
Today, Good Friday, is an overcast day but two weeks ago the weather was bright and promising. So, let's 'look on the bright side of life' with this sunny scenery!
Happy Fence Friday 😃 🐇
Last week on Sunday the sky was sooo amazing in color I could have sat out there all day. I was actually wishing so badly I was at the beach taking sunset pictures.
Anyways I'm feeling terrible today my head is pounding but I will be catching up later. Hope you all have a wonderful and safe weekend!
