I felt sorry for this lion tamarin, knowing it would rather be in its home range of Bahia, Brazil, but that habitat has been steadily disappearing, cleared for agriculture, mining and other human endeavors. So, it's this small cubicle (or, possibly nothing) for this particular Golden-headed Lion Tamarin, seen at the Toledo Zoo, Toledo, Ohio.

Felt like some greens today.
Looking forward to their return.
While hiking along the Hoh Rainforest's Spruce Nature trail I entered a tunnel of dank, dark and encircling overhanging boughs. Ahead I spied this bright, appealing circle of light pulling me onward. Thought perhaps Legolas or Tauriel might be around the corner….
The bright vibrant variation in the green hues and cave-like setting tickled my imagination, and trigger finger. Hope you find it interesting and appealing as well.
Seahawks onward to the Super Bowl!
Enjoy a wonderful weekend.
esse foi feito especialmente pra enviar dentro de uma caixinha pra uma amiga que queria muito...e o mais especial dele é que foi meu primeiro feito com retalhinhos...legal né!
A buck with felt antlers and two does (one perhaps with mange) were feeding in this shrubbery near a neighborhood in downtown Lafayette, IN, August, 2025. Talk about adapting! I shot this from a car, a learned behavior now from all of my shooting at the Shiawassee NWR.

This brooch has been on my "to sew" list for sooo long!
Quite a big brooch, about 8cm wide, 100% approved by my boyfriend (who normally raises a polite eyebrow at most things I make).
I always think that every luminous ending is a gift..I felt very lucky to be there.
Cada puesta de sol con luces así me hace pensar que es un regalo. Me sentí muy afortunada por estar allí. En las marismas de Cádiz.
I felted some ornaments in wet and needle technique, as well as sewed a flower and arranged everything to scan it. So it is not only a documentation, but an independent work.
My husband and I are creating a new playroom as with the addition of another babe we will need some more room
I created these felt portraits of the kids to be fun and funky for in the new space and I just love how they came out!
Not sure what prompted me to do this one, maybe the Level 5 water restrictions we now have? Possibly some photos I was looking at the other day. Anyhoo, it came to me as I was going to bed and I just had to work on it the next day.
The text on the back of it reads...
'drought relief...
An entire country, grinding to a halt, waiting for the drought to break. Searching the skies for a sniff of moisture, praying for even the smallest drops to fall. Remembering water aplenty, before the earth turned dry and the disappearing green mask revealed the red dust below. Optimisim that the glittering fields will one day return so that we may practice such harsh lessons learned.'
The background is a piece of embroidery canvas painted by hand (quite literally, I used my hands rather than a brush!) with felt and buttons stitched on top. I don't actually like the red frame, but until I find a darker colour this is it...
***eta - thanks so much for your response! It's fantastic! Feeling the love!
Someone mentioned below about the greenery in our garden, despite the restrictions. We made a decision 2yrs ago to stop watering and simply let everything die that required water. We lost a lot of plants, but the ones that are drought tolerant survived, and so we still have a lovely garden. The lawn is another story! Its a great big dustbowl!
The people I feel sorry for are those who make their living out of the land. Naturally the farmers who have been doing it tough for so many years, but also the people who mow lawns, plant nurseries, gardeners, turf layers. They are all having to find work elsewhere to supplement. Its amazing how much we all rely on water...
“Sorry Not Sorry” is OUT TODAY
See the lyric video HERE
We all go through tough times that require difficult decisions. But sometimes we don’t need to apologize for it to anyone. Learning from mistakes and becoming the best version of ourselves is an ongoing challenge.
"Sorry Not Sorry" is about that paradox. I wrote this song during a desperate time when I was trying to work through a complicated situation. I felt bad for hurting someone I love, but I needed to work through that experience on my own. In the end, I realized I could better heal by addressing the problem head on.

I've been knocking myself out with making this felt rope, I'll be re-introducing it in the shop. I just want to be sure to have an wonderful selection of colors.
I felt like such a college boy walking around Oxford University :)
Anyway, it's been a pretty uninspiring week... before I take a photo I often have to have a vision in my head and then it just comes naturally. That vision just didn't come this week so I've resorted to uploading an old photo.. sorry people.
By the way, I think sharpness in photography is over-rated.
Had some fun with my old felt collection for this weeks theme. I used to love making things with felt, but I haven't used any in a long time, maybe this rainbow of colours will inspire me again.
HMM everyone
