Things are still blooming in Kipps's garden. Black eyed Susan's are everywhere and so I picked a few to put in the window.
Looking down our driveway the trees glisten with amber and red. We feel grateful to life in Maine.
Please be careful out there! Things are not good here so we are staying home ;D
I felt the urge to say some words to our dear admin of 7 days with Flickr ♥

You do look so well after us, you check our photos and are writing so cute comments, you are our middle man if we need that, and you use so much of your precious time on us 🙏
You know in your heart that we care about you, just by looking at the comments on your photos, everybody can see the love we give back to you.
Never the less I wanted to wish you a lovely well deserved vacation, if you ever come to Norway I'll have a room for you ♥
We all love you to the moon and back, Mae ♥

Following the light is one of my passions
Catching the light too
Even in the darkest of moments there are light
If you don't see it straight away, just wait a bit, breathe, cleanse your mind, take a moment
It will come to you
Rest assure
Light can show itself in different ways
It can be a gesture from an unknown
Some well put words from someone
A little sign of love
An understanding how things are coming together
You have your own light
It's actually the strongest there is
We tend to not care too much about that
That light is pure love
It lies in your spine
It's your soul
Can you imagine
We all have it
I guess that makes us all Angels on Earth
How cool isn't that
We are all blessed, and we don't even get it
So in March 2018 my amazing Girlfriend decided to treat me to my very first ‘Proper Camera’ as a Birthday present - a Canon EOS 80D, and ever since then my 'Photography' journey began. Like most people I was itching to get started out and the very first thing I did was got the camera set up properly then took a few test shots and I guess you could say I instantly fell in love, don’t get me wrong I always had a keen interest in photography but before then I was always snapping away on various iPhones only now I had the real thing!
Then on that evening she told me about a thing called ‘Flickr’ and hand on heart I hadn’t really ever heard about Flickr up until that moment, so the very next day (5th March) I decided to have a little look at Flickr and downloaded the App, I then uploaded a few of my shots taken on the iPhone 6S from a trip we had in St Lucia 2017, then I started searching Flickr and very quickly was blown away by the millions and millions of massively talented people on here.
I then noticed I started to get some users favourite some of the photos I had uploaded as well as the odd comments, then I found groups and started following people that I truly admired and found incredibly inspirational and was then blown away when they started following me.
I then uploaded my first few shots with my DSLR and more favourites and comments started flooding in and I was absolutely blown away by this, then I had one of my images appear on ‘Explore’ and after that I guess you could say I well and truly got the Flickr bug, and ever since then I’ve gone onto meet and liaise with some truly wonderful people and I’d even go as far to say I regard each and every one of you as very good friends.
I not only hold each and every one of you close to my heart but I feel that Flickr has played a massive part in my ‘Photography’ development and journey over the past 11 months and it’s all you incredible people that have continued to inspire me each and every single day.
So that brings me to today where I’m absolutely bursting with joy at having reached the incredible milestone of 1 million views, I also noticed that Tuesday 19th February was also a special day where I reached a brand new record of views in a day with well over 17,000 views, this again has me absolutely bursting with pride.
So all I can say from the bottom of my heart is a massive thank you for all the favourites comments and views it really does mean the absolute world to me and I hope you all continue to enjoy my work just as much I do seeing each and every one of yours!
All the best
Chris
What were the chances that I would capture a fog bow over the sunflower fields!! When I got to this spot for sunrise it was clear as could be. I shot the sunrise and after the light went away, I worked on close up shots. I looked up and saw the fog rolling in - hung around the fields until the fog was over the sunflowers. Was thrilled beyond belief when the fog bow formed!

The best camera to take photos from is usually the camera in your hands! Today, with coffee mug and three canine handfuls, the iPhone would just have to do. The morning sun and the early fog coming off the snow along with my companions, made the walk in this area all that more special. #gratitude #feelingblessed
Feeling blessed today for each of my kids. They have brought me much joy as I have watched them grow and embrace life. It’s been a blessing that I have been able to be a stay at home mom and I’m thankful to my husband for that. So today I reminisce about the days when they were little. I have this book that I have written in over the years, just little blurbs here and there so I wouldn’t forget some of the precious memories as the years have gone by.
It’s been a long time since each of them came home from the hospital with these little bracelets and soon I’ll be entering that stage of life when each of them leaves to start their own lives. Life is precious and sometimes as a mom you can think that it is so mundane day after day doing the same things but what a privilege to impact the life of another human being, to be given that precious life and to watch him/her grow.
Happy Mother’s Day to all you mother’s!
Roseburg, Oregon.
I got this shot while sitting at a traffic light. At first it didn't look very interesting. Then the bicycle came to the corner and cast this wonderful shadow. I scrambled to get the shot with my iPhone shooting through a dirty window.
