May 9, 2010, 8:39 a.m. These Slater Street Running Room marathon clinic members are feeling the cold while waiting on the Kanata store's windswept parking lot for the 32 km training run to begin. No worries, we're going soon.

99/365 The Vintage Collective Markets are new markets near where I live. I hope to get enough ideas and things together for Knight Melodies to become a part of it (I have a way to go in getting it all together but it's a nice new, exciting project for me). The markets have lots of plans and are getting lots of interest which is very exciting.

The afternoon sun is shining brightly as the Waupaca station sign stands tall, while in the sky a cirrus cloud floats above. i was feeling a bit artsy in between trains at the Waupaca depot, and this is the result.

Sometimes the world seems to big to handle. Some times that's more true than other. A photo about the path the child must walk to experience the big and unexplainable world.

Everything about the Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport was new at the Roar test. Even the optimum tire pressures.

Some outtakes that I thought were worthy of editing (:

More happy music!

When you’re feeling sad & blue

And have no clue what to do

Sit down and have a cup of tea

And a hug or two or maybe three

Feel those troubles melt away

And start you on a better day.

... blue may refer to the feeling of sadness. This is because blue is related to rain, or storms, and in Greek mythology, the god Zeus would make rain when he was sad (crying), and a storm when he was angry. Kyanos was a name used in Ancient Greek to refer to dark blue tile (in English it means blue-green or cyan).[The phrase "feeling blue" is linked also to a custom among many old deepwater sailing ships. If the ship lost the captain or any of the officers during its voyage, she would fly blue flags and have a blue band painted along her entire hull when returning to home port.

Turned photograph of myself into a blue sketch. Tools used in GIMP: Desaturate, threshhold, edge detect. Coloured image then finished off with Edges script for border.

Creative Editing Process:

-Started with a global, cold grade (to the whole image).

-Used many brushes in different parts of the image, especially the dog, to bring back some warmth.

-Brushed the lead to change it's dull blue into a stronger one (the only vibrant colour in the photo) to signify sadness and bring one's attention to the fact that the dog is 'leading' nowhere.

She likes the pillow with the beach towel over it. Things are looking up.

"Feeling Blue" Fabric Notebook

This A6 size notebook is covered in super cute printed cotton fabric. Pretty ribbon bookmark marks the spot! The front and rear inside covers are lined with printed paper in a contrasting pattern, inside writing paper is lined.

Buy me, because I'll make you feel better about the list of things to do that you've written inside me!

A while back, feeling the itch to get serious with 35mm photography, I reached out to Michael Raso of Film Photography Project / Podcast. I let him know how I am in need of a great beginner 35mm SLR. The few I've used from thrift stores have been nothing but lemons, and the only one that did work for me was a fixed focus 75 cents camera...while it got the job done, it wouldn't get me far with 35mm photography.

Mike told me he'd check around his studio to see if he could put together a "Starter 35mm kit"... and wow did he come through! This week I received the 1983 Canon T50, along with its carrying case, Canon FD 50mm & 70-210mm lens' as well as a variety of film to run through this fantastic camera!

I've read up on all there is to know about the Canon T50, and quickly began a "test roll" of Walgreens 200 ASA film to shoot- to get a feel for the camera. I didn't venture out around town but instead stayed near home due to a heat wave this week. (I get around on my bicycle + the bus). :-)I'm looking forward to the weekend where I'll bring this camera with me everywhere.

I can't thank you enough, Mike! The T50 has found a great home!
