Italian Chef Oliver Glowig (Rome's 2-Michelin starred Ristorante Oliver Glowig) in town for the Spring/Summer menu development.
Both Karon Liu and myself had the chance to join The Ritz-Carlton's Food & Beverage team in the first of their dinner menu sittings.
We discussed everything, from the visual appeal (including plating and plates), to the flavour (texture, and i.e. component size), and admiring wine pairings. There was discussion on season appropriateness and maintaining theme, also on what the FOH should convey to guests vs. what is detailed on the menu.
It was a fun and positive exercise to see how decisions are made on this level. I have been a part of (even more) casual decision making tastings, but thoroughly enjoyed how constructive this session was.

Guys i appreciate positive feedback and criticism.
Unedited-hoping for some feedback on my concepts ahead of editing. Apologies for the large amount of images, would love some feedback on the ones you consider strongest...
The images capture everyday scenes, domestic in nature, highlighting formal qualities such as shape, line, colour, texture.
Having a background in painting, I tend to capture and read the photographs that way.
They act as a window into the lives of those who move through these spaces, giving clues and story telling. I'm thinking my work fits more into the 'Portraiture' theme...but also could work for the 'urban landscape' theme too?
Any and all feedback welcomed!

For modern-day pianos, the total width of the three-octave, equal to 21 white keys, is about 497mm. However, the total width in same condition would only be around 475mm in pianos from the late 18th century. Some modern electronic keyboards, especially ones manufactured by Casio brand, have narrower width. Variations in size of black and white keys affect the different total width of pianos, which result feedback loop. Composers from past centuries composed their pieces based on old smaller pianos, not considering future generation pianists having troubles with bigger pianos. The following video depicts a "humorously exaggerated" example of what happens to small-handed pianists trying to play old pieces. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ifKKlhYF53w Women and young pianists generally perform easier and better when the width of piano is decreased to fit their hand size. However, pianists who practiced with the standard size piano for a long time would have trouble getting used to the smaller one. Performers has to recalculate their horizontal movement on the keyboard so their muscle and brain can adopt to the different piano brands. (This also can be applied for performance versus preference, as well.)

All of the artwork on RedBubble has a comment space that allows for users to share their thoughts on the artwork, regardless of whether they have actually purchased an item featuring that artwork. As you can see, in this particular comment section the artist has taken it upon himself to respond to the comments that one user left him. Informal comment sections such as the one on RedBubble are a good way for artists and buyers or potential buyers to interact. It also allows buyers to leave feedback for their experience with the artists so as to caution or encourage other potential buyers.
