Roger Federer is a Swiss professional tennis player who is currently ranked world No. 3 in men's singles tennis by the Association of Tennis Professionals. He has won 19 Grand Slam singles titles, the most in history for a male tennis player.

After some relaxing days in Yorkshire came the real treat. Centre Court tickets for a day at Wimbledon. This day cemented Roger Federer being my favorite tennis player ever. Tennis had a huge impact in my life. Whereas baseball was my sport of choice till 10th grade, the practice and travel schedule for high school baseball was not possible for me and keeping my paper route. Tennis was doable so with no experience my best friend and I took up tennis. I made last man on the junior varsity in the 10th grade. By 12th grade I was playing #2 singles and was undefeated in #1 doubles on the varsity. Voted MVP by the team. I did not think I was good enough to play in college but I went to the matches and watched. I felt I had a chance and tried out as a walk-on in my second year. I made the team and was given a 50% scholarship which enabled me to finish college without debt. Thank you tennis!
