African leopards (Panthera pardus pardus) are one of the two big cats, along with the lion and included in the big five of Africa, that inhabit the continent of Africa.

Queen Lorian, a very famous and senior female leopard, was found dead yesterday morning, mauled to death by either Lions or another Leopard. She has left behind a 14 month old son, Roho who shall to fend for himself in the wild.

This was my latest sighting of her during a photography Safari on an early morning game drive in the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, Kenya.

This is a photograph from Feature Show Falls in WA state. This is a very popular destination due to its impressive waterfall and its easy access. I was back in town for a few days, and decided to get up early and head out to see the waterfall with my dad in the early morning. We were able to get there when it was still a little dark, and hiked up to the waterfall in the early light. We were fortunate enough to catch it when the light was just starting to hit the waterfall, making it glow! It gave the image a super soft, almost magical feel to it. Great memories with my dad! :)

I just happened to come across this weir when i was walking along a section of the park which i have never been before. It was fairly steep to go down & of coz, i gotta do it! :P i slided down the soil on my bum with my cam & tripod. That's pretty hilarious if any of you were to witness that :D I actually leap from 1 stone platform to another to get to the middle of the dam, just to get this shot. If i slip & fall, i guess i would be pretty screwed big time haha!

This HDR shot does look like a painting to me :P However to prove that the original shots are already pretty surreal. I've posted another original shot pretty much direct from the memory card (except for just a small amount of increase in overall saturation) -

- Added a layer effect of 'curves' to increase the contrast

- Used 'unsharp mask' ( as always ) on the background layer
