Seen near to Tanat Valley's main depot is Optare Tempo 292 YJ62 FBF. Arriving in late 2020 it still carries the livery of previous operator Stagecoach in South Wales. Ironically it sees use into Newtown on service T12 (Machynlleth - Newtown - Welshpool - Oswestry - Wrexham) a town it saw regularly when with Stagecoach on route T4 from Cardiff - Newtown. TransBus Trident-TransBus ALX400 9.9m.
From 26th September 2014 until withdrawal on 15th March 2016, TA241 was route locked on the 220. It was acquired by Ensign Bus in December 2016 and in January 2017 to MC Tractors of Ely, Cambridgeshire for scrap.
In a recent move a Trident returned to Go-Ahead Metrobus at MB from Go-Ahead London General at Merton in the shape of E115 LX09 FBF. It is captured here on the 208 at the Broomhill Road stop in Orpington High Street. Thursday 30th May 2024. DSCN58988.

Brentwood Coaches once had a large collection of preserved coaches, most of which were beautifully restored in their own workshops. Eventually, all of them were sold on (but one, MXB 733, I am pleased to say, was bought back and restored yet again) so it is pleasing to find that the youngest generation at the firm is proving that he has the skill and judgement to manage a quality restoration too. This is 558 FBF, a Bedford SB8 - Duple Super Vega that has been brought back to immaculate condition. It was previously a traveller's vehicle.

A much travelled Trident leading a nomadic life this year being displaced from London General at Merton (AL) to Metrobus after service on 21st May, route 157, commencing at MB two days later, route 320. It was on the move again after service on 10th September to London Central at Morden Wharf (MG) where it started on route 178, 13th September. It still wears London General markings and AL garage code.

This was the first time I noticed this driver giving me the 'V' sign but looking through my shots from today in Bath I see he did the same thing when he passed earlier. Poor form I think?

A Trident returns.
In a surprise move and after an absence of about two years a Trident has returned to Go-Ahead Metrobus (MB) from London General at Merton (AL). The driver admires his mount in Ringers Road, Bromley as E115 LX09 FBF waits to commence a trip to Eltham on the normally single deck operated route 126. Saturday 1st June 2024. DCN59013.

E115 was last used at AL on route 157, 21st May and commenced at MB on route 320 two days later.
Three 09 plate Tridents have recently returned to Go-Ahead Metrobus, those being E115 LX09 FBF and E122 LX09 FBV from London General at Merton and E121 LX09 FBU an ex London Central machine from Peckham. E115 was the first to arrive entering service on 23rd May and is seen here at the 320 terminus in Kings Road, Biggin Hill Valley. Wednesday 28th August 2024. DSCN60261.

The 320 had a contract renewal from last Saturday with new electric buses the type of which will be confirmed by the end of 2024.
