My wish is to ride the tempest and tame the waves. I will not resign myself to the usual lot of women who bow their heads and become concubines......

After we left Paria, Curt and I made a quick stop at the Toadstool / HooDoos along the way. I had been there before and decided to leave my camera in the Jeep, opting to take only my phone for photos.
This is the perfect place for phone photos. I think they actually came out better then the ones from my previous trip taken with my 5D4! Damn phones.

I'm sad about the Mcdonald's... I hope they're just building a bigger one. That'd be supersweeet :-)
Fatty marrow on char grilled toast (more delicious St. John bread) that bring out the smoky flavours from of the char. The marrow was served unsalted and tasted only oily, rich, but ironically very clean. I enjoyed the lightly dressed parsley salad, which was a lovely blend of crisp greens, kicked up with lightly salted fresh capers and peppery red onions. The salad was the cleansing component on this otherwise artery clogging plate, balancing out the strong flavours of the grilled toasts and cutting the richness of the fatty marrow.

he's putting weight on..I am not too worried about it, after all it is winter
but I found out he has conned me for month again, telling me he can't open the doors...well this morning I saw him open a door and he looked quite sheepish when he realized he got busted.
The large, pearly textured, and fleshy seeds bursting forth from the seed cases of one of my succulent plants. Each large 'pearl' contains a seed surrounded by juicy flesh. Being succulents I guess each comes equiped with a natural watersupply and nutrients ready to start a new life.
Its mid winter here and very dreary stuff for us birders. Thank goodness for my old mate the silvereye who is such a photogenic fella and out and about in all seasons.
