In 'the Speeldernis', a playground with water and lots of trees to hide from the burning sun, I was a bit taken in by the loving father-daughter moments of these two visitors.
...is a special thing for a
daughter...almost grown.
Though mom took her away
and left dad all alone,
she could not take away
devotion in the heart
that grew within the
both of them...though
Many miles apart.
When she was only six,
neither really had much choice...
now she can speak with
an almost grownups voice.
And when the tears come now
I think that you will find...
they're the tears of deep felt love..
the special...JOYFUL kind...
the kind that seems to settle
like a peaceful snow white dove
upon a special daughter
who knows a father's love.

Let me tell you a Story ~ This is my friend Matt and his Daughter Elena~ They are in San Diego visiting from Portland ~ Matt has some business meetings in San Diego this week ~I had/still have a flu and told them that I could not meet them because I did not want to infect them ~So they arrived here monday ( with Mom Jeanne also ;-) and are staying in an Hotel a few blocks away from my place ~
I decided to get out of the house again today to ride my bike a bit although i was not feeling at my best...but not at my worst either...So I went to the Beach , which is to the right of this picture, and ride the bike for awhile~ I did so then decided that I had enough, to not overdo it, then proceeded to get back to the house~ This is when I heard in the back of me someone call " Dom ! "...turned around..and there they were~
I did not get too close and managed to get a couple of shots of the two of them~ Funny thing is, I almost did not go that way..I was gonna ride along a more scenic but longer way..however due to the flu still weakining me, I decided to take the shorter way...therefore meeting my friends here ;-)) Elena seem to be really into the Camera ;-))
I told Matt that if I felt better tomorrow we might meet...keep my finger cross as am typing this I feel Ok ;-))
So cute, father and daughter out taking a walk across the street. She got herself a walking stick, just like daddy. might have to click on this to see her stick. It was such a beautiful day for a walk.
