Winter comes after autumn

Whitechapel revisited

Sometimes our fate resemble bare trees in winter. Who would think that those branches would turn green again and blossom, but we hope it, we know it. ♥

~ Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

“That is life, isn’t it? Fate. Luck. Chance. A long series of what-if’s that lead from one moment to the next, time never pausing for you to catch your breath, to make sense of the cards that have been handed to you. And all you can do is play your cards and hope for the best, because in the end, it all comes back to those three basics.

Fate. Luck. Chance.”

― Kelseyleigh Reber

So life.... and luck... I've learned...

Luck really doesn't just happen.... don't depend on it. If you don't do the work, you're not going to get the results. But...sometimes.... luck may take you to a place and hand you an unexpected treasure... like the little blue flowers growing all over by this unfortunate odd shed, with no house anywhere nearby. I'm going back to dig some up!

And also unfortunate... I have learned that in a battle between a nylon jacket and picker bushes... the picker bushes are going to win, hands down. Jacket totally shredded! Oh, and along the same line... running pants will also not do much to protect you from picker bushes. Legs and ankles... also shredded.

And as if that wasn't enough for one day.... I'm here to tell you that the mosquitoes are out ... in force! I was also eaten alive by mosquitoes. I couldn't slap them off fast enough. And do you want to talk about ticks....no, let's not!!

Yeah... not much luck in my world today (except for the pretty little blue flowers! I hope they aren't full of mosquitoes and ticks!)

Thy fate is the common fate of all; Into each life some rain must fall.

Please, if possible, help with the ID of this baby Rodent (Rat, Mouse, Vole).

Saw this baby rodent with an erratic behavior and out on its own at such tender age. Then noticed the gunky eyes and think it's an Illness and maybe because of that was abandoned by the parents as not to infect the rest of the litter.

Anyone with knowledge on the subject can shed some light on the subject please.

Cheers everyone.

Not 100% sure with the ID Help appreciated on that :)

[A portrait of the effervescent Kristi. She and I had a most magical Saturday together. Going on an epic quest to receive hugs from a woman named Amma, followed up by magical rice-ball dinner, and finally shooting in this field of purple flowers at golden hour. I felt a spark of inspiration and shot this of Kristi, who gave me the keen idea to use my newly acquired crystal to shoot through my lens with! So happy to have met someone who has so many similar interests, not the least of which is an obsession with The Dark Crystal. Love my gelfling sister! <3]

Awaiting their fate. This could also apply to the steam locos in the background as much as to the chickens who's day started brightly enough in the winter sunshine.

The steamers lingered on until 2016; not so these chickens. The cages had new occupants the following morning, and the pavement, sticky with blood and guts bore testament to the grisly trade.

I'd love to hear what you think.

Sometines paths never cross and there is no fork in the road.

Fate ...

is when you meet a person

that you weren't looking for

Then you realize it

that you never wanted

nothing else in the world

Il destino ...

è quando incontri una persona

che non stavi cercando

Per poi renderti conto

che non hai mai desiderato

nient'altro al mondo

March is a tough month to weather here in Wisconsin... today called for a little pink.

I sat there on the quayside by the landing,

a melon rind was drifting on the flow .

I delved into my fate, just understanding:

the surface chatters, while it's calm below

As if my heart had been its very source,

troubled, wise was the Danube, mighty force.

Like muscles when you work and lift the axe,

or harvest, hammer, excavate a grave,

so did the water tighten, surge, relax

with every current, every breezy wave.

Had to go for a different look for Doc' Fate, mainly because this helmet is the best I've got.

The de Nile sisters have starred in another film! This one also happens to be about their tumultuous relationship, specifically Cleo's attempts to usurp Nefera's place as heir to their father's throne.

Coming soon to a theater near you!

I trust in fate and stop thinking too much.

It will come to me.

Ich vertraue auf das Schicksal und denke nicht viel darüber nach was ich tun muss.

Es wird auf mich zukommen...

Encounter,

for debts we must repay;

Departure,

when the dues fade away.

...is what we make of it.

And if this night I came knocking to your door will you open?

"I found a place where we can boogie"...

this song makes me wanna cry tonite.

Dr Fate is one of the most powerful superheroes from the DC universe.

I am thinking to change later, the energy shields from his hands, to resemble more with the original character, but I am not sure because I think that that green with all the gold is working quite good.

This in my take on a character, trying to keep it close to the original, but adding things to make it more personal and unique.

I hope you like it.

Stay tuned, more will come :)

All the best!
