This Scania L94UB/Wright Solar is seen on Friar Street, Reading on the 50 towards Madejski Park and Ride site. LK55ACJ was new in September 2005 and in the photo wears branding for fasttrack. Fast track is a Park & Ride service. It has also worn branding for the X74 (Slough-High Wycombe). First Beeline is also known as First Berkshire & The Thames Valley

So yeah wasn't expecting to see this at Dover Priory Rail Station this morning!, and this vehicle is Brand New at Newport Buses in South Wales!, and was visiting Dover in East Kent as part of a Vehicle Trial for Dover's FastTrack Bus: www.kentlive.news/news/kent-news/construction-dover-fastr..., which is coming soon with construction having already started in Whitfield.
And be sure to check by my other account: www.flickr.com/photos_user.gne?path=&nsid=77145939%40..., to see what else I saw 2 Weeks Ago!!
Lokomotíva „Plecháč“ sa hrdo vinie popri majestátnych skalách neďaleko bulharskej dediny Cerovo, kde drsná príroda splýva s hromovým zvukom železničných koľají. V objatí divokej krajiny nesie náklad svojou cestou, akoby bol súčasťou ticha a hory, ktorou prechádza.
Dover District Council and Kent County Council have spaffed £34,000,000 on what they called "Fasttrack".
The idea was to have electric buses going between Whitfield and Dover Priory. As the Brexit-related facility at Whitfield was cancelled, so the land that had been compulsory purchased, and the Roman road, we turned into a bus route.
For buses and bikes only.
On top of that, a new bridge and approach roads were built beside Tesco, leading straight to the new mega-estate at Richmond Park.
There are "problems" with the electric buses, so some "ultra-low emission" buses have been sourced to run on the green route.
At the moment, there will be one bus an hour in each direction, and for this they have built new roads from near the Castle to beside B&Q, then via a bridge over the A2 to Richmond Park.
A wonderful piece of tarmac, and bridge for two buses an hour on Sundays, and six and hour weekdays.
And remember, my hometown Lowestoft, had to wait over 100 years to get a third river crossing, and Dover gets a bridge for two buses an hour over the A2.
The service began this morning, with the first bus due to set off from Dover at 11:00, only for the bus to break down, so services are currently running half hour late.

The way you see your life shapes your life.
How you define life determines your
destiny. Your perspective will influence how
you invest your time, spend your money, use
your talents, and value your relationships.
One of the best ways to understand other
people is to ask them, “How do you see your
life?” You will discover that there are as many
different answers to that question as there are
people. I’ve been told that life is a circus, a
minefield, a roller coaster, a puzzle, a symphony,
a journey, and a dance. People have said, “Life
is a carousel: Sometimes you’re up, sometimes
you’re down, and sometimes you just go round
and round” or “Life is a ten-speed bicycle with
gears we never use” or “Life is a game of cards:
You have to play the hand you are dealt.”

You were planned for God’s pleasure.
The moment you were born into the world, God was there as an unseen witness, smiling at your birth. He wanted you alive, and your arrival gave him great pleasure. God did not need to create you , but he chose to create you for his own enjoyment. You exist for his benefit, his glory, his purpose, and his delight.
Bringing enjoyment to God, living for his pleasure, is the first purpose of your life. When You fully understand this truth , you will never again have a problem with feeling insignificant. It proves your worth . If you are that important to God, and he consider you valuable enough to keep with him for eternity, what greater significance could you have? You are a child of God, and you bring pleasure to God like nothing else he has ever created. The Bible says, “ Because of his love God already decided that through Jesus Christ he would makes us his children – this was his pleasure and purpose’’
One of the greatest gifts God has given you is the ability to enjoy pleasure. He wired you with five senses and emotions so you can experience it. He wants you to enjoy life, not just endure it. The reason you are able to enjoy pleasure is that God made you in his image.

The gym at the leisure centre is closed for refurbishment until the middle of the month. For the time being, the dance studio has some of the old equipment, but it is hit and miss whether the machine you want to use might be free.
We were going to the gym this morning, then Jools said she would rather go swimming, and I changed my mind and instead walked the other half of the new Fasttrack bus route from Richmond Park in Whitfield to the entrance to Tesco.
The reason was so that I could do some botany whilst walking, and get some steps in before it got too warm.
Up at half six, drank my coffee, so by half seven we were out, Jools dropping me off in the Stepford-like new estate of Richmond Park.
As it is a new build, most places all look the same, with 2.5 cars parked outside and Astroturf for lawns.
I walk down Red Kite Way, odd as we don't have many Red Kites in Dover, past the massive new phase being built the other side of the road, round a bend where there was a nice native wildflower meadow between me and the first row of identical houses.
No Orchids now, any I think the soil was turned over too recently. Orchids need a couple of years to grow and establish, but lots of Ragwort, Weld, Mallow, Sorrel and various dandelion and thistles, all growing like crazy.
I'm sure someone is going to complain and get it strimmed and flayed soon.
Its not so far on this the northern part of Fasttrack, and soon the road rises to approach the bridge over the A2.
I crossed over Red Kite Road, across the entrance and exit into Tesco, over the other side of the road past Perry's multiple car dealerships and on to the sports centre, where I went in and ordered a banana milkshake and peanut butter flapjack, while I waited for Jools to come out of the pool, shower and get dressed.
I had just finished my snack when she came out, so she drove us home where it was breakfast time.
Despite being sunny, the breeze was fresh and took the edge off the temperatures. We ate breakfast at the dining room table, then did chores in the garden and round the house until it was lunch.
Ok, maybe “great” is overstating its charms, but I’d still rather Fast Track existed, and not the planned multistory condo building recently greenlit

URUGUAY's top stayer Alcazar (Elio Umpierrez/Roni Von Souza) may have sealed a place in the Dubai World Cup with a smashing victory in South America's prestigious Gran Premio Jose Pedro Ramirez.
The peaking six-year-old Uruguayan-bred son of British Listed stakes winning Aramram, dominated his 13 opponents at the top of the stretch and gallantly galloped home under confident handling from Brazilian Roni Von Souza to score easily by three-and-half-lengths as the 1-2 favourite.
Chilean-bred Cacao, edged stablemate Ares for second, chased home by 2010 Ramirez winner Sing-A-Song, while Derby hero Dopplavu checked-in tenth.
Fifth in last year's renewal, Alcazar covered the 2,400 metres in 2m30.28 on fast ground to streak to his third consecutive Group stakes victory and 11th win in 19 starts for 2011 leading owner Stud Villa Nueva and prominent breeder Haras Don Alfredo.
"I spent an entire year waiting for this race and hoping that the horse will be in best condition to demonstrate his greatness, fortunately all worked out well and we can now celebrate," said Von Souza, also the regular pilot for last year´s Derby winner Dopplavu.
"Today we earned the right to start in the Latinoamericano," said co-owner Dario Alvez. "He is nominated to the Dubai World Cup. Final entries are still pending, but he has considerable ranking points. Hopefully with this result he is included among the final entry field."

The smile of God is the goal of your life.
Since pleasing God is the first purpose of your life, your most important task is to discover
how to do that . The Bible says, “Figure out what will please Christ, and then do it,” Fortunately,The Bible gives us a clear example of a life that gives pleasure to God. The man’s name was Noah.
In Noah’s day, the entire world had become morally bankrupt. Everyone lived for their own pleasure, not God's. God couldn't find anyone on earth interested in pleasing him, so he was grieved and regretted making man. God became so disgusted
with the human race that he considered wiping it out. But there was one man who made God smile. The Bibles says, “Noah was a pleasure to the Lord.”
God said, “This guy brings me pleasure. He makes me smile. I’ll start over with his family.” Because Noah brought pleasure to God, you and I are alive today. From his life we learn the five acts of worship that God smile.
