It was part of a series of light-related art organized as part of the Festival of Art + Science + Technology and installed on and around the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) campus in celebration of its 150th anniversary (MIT150 + FAST Arts).

The light and color of the "MIT" letters kept constantly changing, which made it quite challenging to capture.
