Sotto la fascia di ferro che regge la colonna con la statua, è chiaramente visibile l'anno 1565.
Under the iron band that supports the column with the statue, the year 1565 is clearly visible.
The moth flies in two generation per year from May to October depending on the location and are active during the day. Some adults may overwinter. They can occur wherever stinging nettles occur. Anthophila fabriciana has a wingspan of 10–15 millimetres (0.39–0.59 in). The forewings are a patchwork of dark brownish fuscous marbled with pale grey, with yellowish white costal spot and post-median fascia. The abdomen shows large pale bands.

The hermitage is the only remains of the Royal Priory of San Miguel of Breamo where a small monkishcommunity of San Agustín was settled in times of Fernando II of León (1157-1188).
It was built in1187, according to the inscription on the left buttres of the main facade.
It has got a Latin - cross plant, with one nave and three apses in wich its transversal nave exceeds width and height the main nave.
The cover is totally domed, a circumstance not very frequent in Galician Romanesque. And its decoration of naturalist and plant types is present on capitels, modillions, fascias, ornamental top of cruising arches and on the base of the columns.

This set of cables just needs one more cable to complete the framework for a musical staff. With the cooperation of some local birdlife, we could then make music!
When the rain is heavy, the fascia bord at the corner of our house is dripping water. I placed a bin underneath it to collect this precious ressource, then use it on the plants in the garden. Sometimes, an insect or a lizard falls in the water and drowns if I don't see it soon enough. Luckily for this cute Penny Lizard, I rescued it in time and, after warming it in my hand for a while, placed it on an Amaryllis leaf. In shock, it stayed there for a moment, before resuming its normal activities :)
A National Trust property. The interesting thing (or, one of them!) is that it was never finished, and never lived in.

Site Description The Chirk Railway Viaduct lies directly to the west of Chirk Aqueduct and carries the Shrewsbury to Chester railway across the Ceiriog Valley. The viaduct was built to the design of Henry Robinson, chief engineer to the Shrewsbury to Chester Railway, in 1846-1848, with Thomas Brassey the general contractor. The Shrewsbury to Chester line was initiated by Robinson, who had received his training under George Stephenson, and who recognised the need, not met by the canals, to transport materials to Wrexham and Chester. The line became part of the Great Western Railway system in 1854.
It is built of coursed squared rock-faced stone with the upper arch stage of brick faced with stone. It is approximately 260m (849ft) long, comprising 16 arches, ten forming the major span, rising 30m (100ft) above the river. The three arches at either end were first built in wood but replaced in stone in 1858. The main piers are tapered upwards to the an ashlar fascia and torus moulding on the springing line, above which there are decorative arched niches with architraves, keystones and pediments. The arches between piers have ashlar voussoirs, with a dropped keystone (Cadw listing).

Westminster Bridge in London is not only a structure to cross the River Thames. It is a place that lives it's independent life. People play music, take photos, draw or paint pictures or just stand there and watch the boats ...
From Wikipedia:
Westminster Bridge is a road-and-foot-traffic bridge over the River Thames in London, linking Westminster on the west side and Lambeth on the east side.
The bridge is painted predominantly green, the same colour as the leather seats in the House of Commons which is on the side of the Palace of Westminster nearest to the bridge, but a natural shade similar to verdigris. This is in contrast to Lambeth Bridge, which is red, the same colour as the seats in the House of Lords and is on the opposite side of the Houses of Parliament.
In 2005–2007, it underwent a complete refurbishment, including replacing the iron fascias and repainting the whole bridge. It links the Palace of Westminster on the west side of the river with County Hall and the London Eye on the east and was the finishing point during the early years of the London Marathon.
Westminster Bridge was first built between 1739-1750 under the supervision of Swiss engineer Charles Labelye. The original Westminster Bridge was of an elegant design. Spanning 1,223 feet of river, it was 44 feet in width allowing for wide pavements and the passage of three carriages abreast.

But the original bridge became too expensive to upkeep and was torn down in 1853.
The current bridge was designed by Thomas Page and Sir Charles Barry and opened in 186
It is the oldest surviving road bridge across the Thames in central London.
The bridge was intended to be toll-free and was a public institution meant to improve lives.
The initial idea was to build the bridge of stone piers to support a wooden structure.
So it's not exactly a surprise that I went down this route. Because. Obviously I would.

The facade of this building shows a symbolic graph of the seismic shaking during the major 2011 earthquakes.
The current chain of ownership began in 1760, when William Watts bought the estate on his retirement from service in Bengal, and built a classical villa. The mansion and grounds were further extended by George Canning, who later became Prime Minister. He worked the farm with cattle and sheep, wheat, barley, and hay, built a kitchen garden and developed a beautiful arboretum and shrubbery. He is reported to have plagued the British Envoy in Lisbon for many good large orange trees for his conservatory ! Today the building is used as an Arts Centre.

TWILIGHT ON THE WATER.
Visiting the sources of the Sile means immersing yourself in a corner of unspoiled nature in the heart of the Venetian plain, just a few kilometers away from Treviso.
The river Sile is in many ways a unique river: it originates from a strip of springs at the edge of a plain of alluvial origin and, after a journey of about 96 km, flows into the north-east near Jesolo. A few years ago the Sile regional natural park was established, a very important area from an environmental point of view, which seeks to protect and preserve the course of the largest Italian resurgence river. The area of the springs is characterized by areas partially occupied by marshes and wetlands of particular environmental importance. An area that can be visited all year round; however, being a basically humid area, it is better to avoid rainy or foggy days.
