The original photo was of yesterday's wave action on Lake Michigan. Photoleap was used to create this image.

We live in a world of fluid pronouns, so why shouldn't fantasy creatures do the same?

As you may know, I read a lot of science fantasy novels. Often in them there will be unusual creatures that have the ability to transform themselves from inanimate objects to living beings. I have a tendency to "see" those beings when I come across unusual driftwood or rocks during my frequent beach walks. This is one of them.

Friday afternoon I visited the lakefront area that leads to the lighthouse. On the walk back to my car I came across this view-the rock looks a bit like the head of a chameleon.

Need to move on from reading science fiction novels sometime soon. Photoleap was used to create this image.

As a result of my addiction to science fiction novels I often "see" unusual creatures when I come across driftwood. This is just one of those times.

The original photo was a view of Seville, Spain from above. Photoleap was used to add elements of other photos that I have taken.

The original was a b&w photo that I took of a corne leading to Sheboygan's 8th Street bridge as I stood below on the riverwalk. Photoleap was used to add elements of other photos that I have taken.

These gnarly beings from an Angry Orchard hard cider bottle make good woods guardians.

His dad was a wood duck and his mom a monarch butterfly. Nature is full of surprises!

This piece of driftwood reminds me of a stranded stick figure person who has been washed ashore.

If you infer that I am wishing for warmer times, you are 100% correct. Photoleap was used to add elements of other photos that I have taken to this beach scene.

The original photo was of Lake Michigan on a rowdy day. The tear in the sky was an interesting street chalk drawing. Photoleap was used to create this image.

This driftwood at Deland Park reminds me of an icy creature crawling towards the beach.

The original photo of a military ceremony was taken while I was visiting Seville, Spain. Photoleap Cloud Wanderer was used to modify the scene.

As the crested prehistoric creature dips its head into the cool water for a refreshing drink....Yes, my mind identified another fantasy creature, this time along a bank of the Sheboygan River.

Hi all !!

Thank you very much for choosing my picture for your cover !

I'm honored and glad you like my shot !

The group is here.

The original is here.

The original photo was of a moose in Fairbanks, Alaska. Photoleap was used to create this image with elements of photos that I have taken. No woodland creatures were harmed in the process. :-)

Beaches are interesting any time of year.

My great-aunt named this tree when I posted it on FB a few days ago. I like the name.

The original photo was taken in the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago. Photoleap was used to create this image.

As I looked upward while standing on a point that jutted out to Lake Winnegago I saw this creature.

What/who do you see reclining on the beach?

There was absolutely no symbolism or deep meaning intended. It's just a silly bath tub toy added to a Lake Michigan scene using Photoleap.

On one of my walks I came across this large gnarly driftwood fantasy creature wedged in the rocks that line this part of Lake Michigan.

The original photo was of a wintery Sheboygan lighthouse. Photoleap was used to add elements of other photos that I have taken.

Note: The swarming of the winged frogs happens much less frequently than the swarming of the locusts.

In Sheboygan the theater attracts all creatures great and small.

As I was walking along South Pier on the dune that overlooks Lake Michigan I spied this and did a doubletake. This ice formation with its enclosed driftwood looked very much like a rooster to me.

For some reason this image reminded be of the 1981 song by Men At Work. Opening the blinds to this vision could be a rude awakening.

The original photo was an entrance to the beach at the end of Sheboygan's South Pier district. Photoleap was used to create this image. Elements were added from other photos that I have tsaken.

The croc-hawks are back and spent time on the beach. This image was created using Photoleap Cloud Wanderer.

"The Three Amigos" was a classic comedy film produced in the 1980's.

The original photo was taken at Bryce Canyon. I took the hoodoos and solitary hiker to get a sense of proportion. Photoleap was used to add kite creatures and create this image.

The original photo was of the Sheboygan lighthouse on a Friday afternoon. Photoleap was used to add elements from other photos that I have taken.
