"The music was growing louder. It was eerie, spine-tingling, unearthly; it lifted the hair on Harry's scalp and made his heart feel as though it was swelling to twice its normal size. Then, as the music reached such a pitch that Harry felt it vibrating inside his own ribs, flames erupted at the top of the nearest pillar.

From 1976, National Noid cover (for AZAPA). Needs better scan. The original was a ditto (ask your grandparents). Fine print details: "VOTE …or I'll Kill You!" Lists include "Voter List" "S--t List" and "Franz Liszt." Hard-to-read type in "DAILY PLINUT" includes "PLACE PHOTO HERE" "THE WINNAH!" "NATIONWIDE PANIC! RIOTS IN STREETS! SUICIDES! HYSTERIA!" and "LOSER." Some of this stuff, I can't read offhand. There's a little door with a mailbox on the voting booth. The volunteer has a book called "SMUT." Uncle Sam has some kind of button. Probably says something. What can I say? I was 19.
