Visited some friends over by Clearwater Beach a few days ago, had to stop at Frenchys . Nice to see so much social distancing and mask wearers
At Harry Ramsden's famous Fish and Chip Restaurant they serve food accompanied by such famous condements as Heinz Tomato Ketchup (originally one of 57 famous varieties) and the famous HP Sauce, manufactured to a recipe that was famously served in Britains famous Houses of Parliament.

This is the fabulous French Crepe Restaurant in the centrally located downtown city of Montreal, Quebec. The choices for crepes are numerous; filled with sweet or other savoury foods or just plain, with great coffees also. Don't miss it if you ever visit this wonderful city, my home town. On a nice day you can also eat outside in their little roped off cafe section. We had just parked the car to go and meet up with someone and looked through the Window, and WOW we stopped to eat here!
For anyone visiting this city, the Restaurant is located almost on the corner of Guy Street and Maissoneuve Blvd, just below Sherbrooke Street. See the map; it is very easy to find and quite centrally located. Why the map shows Ottawa I don't know as that city is in the Province of Ontario and is the Capital City of Canada where the Government offices are. Montreal is in the Province of Quebec and yes, they DO STILL SPEAK ENGLISH THERE (or as they say, ANGLAIS!).
R.I.P. Big King (2018 - 2022)
Luongo Square, Federal Hill - Providence, Rhode Island
I'll never forget the way this restaurant - called Big King - described itself on its website. Which is fortunate, because the restaurant and website are now gone. The description read:
"Small, weird restaurant serving food that's raw, grilled over charcoal, and fried in small batches."
That's it. Nothing more in the way of a description.
Big King could afford to be enigmatic, though, because its chef-owner, James Mark, won a James Beard Award the year before he opened it. The restaurant achieved legendary status locally and garnered national acclaim in its brief existence. Based on my sole visit here in 2019, I'd say the accolades were well-deserved.
This was taken early morning pre dawn, using a tripod on a slow exposure, in wet conditions.
I have not eaten here, but I have got to know about it, through it being mentioned on Masterchef because Peter Doyle is a famous Australian Chef and its one of his restaurants in a prime location in Sydney. I am sure the foods excellent!
I took another picture just before the sun came up and the light quality had changed completely. Everything became blueish in tone. I might post that later to show the difference as its quite marked.

This one describes Peter Doyles awards which are quite a lot:

Just a side comment. I used to have Nikon FMs, and of course then with film you do not see what you have done till you develop the shot.
Now I find that with digital as you take the image it momentarily pops up on the screen. Now you can take a longer look if you like, zoom in etc, whatever, if you want to take the time.
Now even with this when you get the image home it might be darker or lighter than it appeared on the camera, and sometimes I have slipped up with that.
With nightshots I tend to shoot totally manually as I found that the aperture priority; that worked nicely with normally lit daylight scenes; was 80%-95% of the time giving unusable results in night shots.
I also found that often I'd take a few shots, see they were useless and re-adjust the exposure till it looked about right as far as I could judge.
Now with film you do not have a clue what you are getting till you see it on film/slide or whatever you are using.
So the chance to experiment is much more.
It's also a lot easier to use photoshop to adjust the images than in the darkroom
and CHEAPER!!
The flexibility is so much more.
Of course I do not know how much image quality sacrifice there is in digital and I medium format film cameras are hundred times more expensive for digital as far as I can work out, unfortunately.
And I found out that the Nikon D90 and other similarly priced cameras, the negative size is effectively half that of the film Nikon FM. which is 35mm. At least that's what was explained to me as I bought it, and the next level up body was a 2-3 times the price.

We enjoyed our memorable and creative lunch at the FG Restaurant, 2* Michelin Stars by Chef Francois Geurds. The Surprise lunch was beautiful, every Amuse-bouche, course and our drinks are a highlight in itself. All this complimented by wonderful service standards, a gorgeous and modern setting in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. This restaurant comes highly recommended when visiting this fascinating city. Our memorable lunch in April 2016 at Vau located in the heart of Berlin near the Gendarmenmarkt. We enjoyed our 3-Course Lunch, the hospitality, our fine bread selection, water, signature non-alcoholic drinks and the overall beautiful setting and service received at this architect-led modern, yet classic restaurant by Chef Kolja Kleeberg which boasts 1* Michelin Star and 16 Gault Millau Points. Yes, we would want to enjoy again lunch in our future there when visiting Berlin. Highly recommended.

It's nice to have a restaurant in the area you live in to publish a healthy cookbook. This is my second copy. My first was given to me back in the '90s. Moosewood was quite famous back then. This restaurant opened in January 1974. moosewoodcooks.com/
