The Branta leucopsis, vitkindad gås (Barnacle Goose or whitecheaked goose) is
hanging around the ponds of Drottningholm in BIG flocks. Nowdays they even
raise their chickens here in the ponds!
Notice, whitecheaked geese...or Barnacle Geese are NOT the same as Canadageese!!!!
A Canadagoosee has a more black head and is bigger!

As along time Flickr user since 2009 I had a large amount of photos over 4,000 and for the last 2 mounts I have been downloading them before Feb 5 2019 .
Flickr will never be the same Price went up for pro now free account with now can only have 1,000 photos. I hoping I can get the rest or at least down to 1,000 photo limit before Feb 5th.
I have 2,000+ to go.
In the next couple of months I will decide if I still want to share my photos with Flickr or what ever the new name will be if they change it.

If you’re a Portuguese like me, you may eat this furry green stuff in soup or salads, chopped or shaved. You may not know what it’s called though. Porto’s call it O-Funcho. I grew up calling it Funch and chewing on the inside part of dried twigs and sometimes mix it with a seed or two. It tastes like black licorice, which I hate, but when there’s something in the wild you can eat as a kid, it’s good anyway. In english, O-funcho is fennel. Found all over Coyote Hills Regional Park in Union City, California and many many backyards of Portuguese homes. on November 2, 2018
