This cement pot used to have a ficus growing in it, inside the house, in the early 80’s. I remember it by the living room front window, under the track lighting. I remember the tree getting so tall, the leaves and branches showered down above me and others. Before that, the pot was probably used for cooking in my Portuguese ancestor’s home, for soaking meat. Not sure many people my age even know about these cement pots. They even have cement lids :). vinha d'alhos!

October themed design. It's that month of the year to be "creepy," so I decided to give it a slight horror feel with Fall colors.

The Branta leucopsis, vitkindad gås (Barnacle Goose or whitecheaked goose) is
hanging around the ponds of Drottningholm in BIG flocks. Nowdays they even
raise their chickens here!
Notice, whitecheaked geese...or Barnacle Geese...are NOT the same as Canadageese!!!!
A Canadagoosee is more black on head and cheaks....and is bigger!
