The French Coast as seen from Bordighera, Italy.

Örebro Castle is a medieval castle fortification at Svartån in Örebro County, Sweden. It was expanded during the reign of the royal family Vasa and finally rebuilt about 1900. Some of the rooms are used as classrooms for pupils from Karolinska gymnasiet.

Tranquil reflections in autumn's colours...

Depuis ma fenêtre à Bordighera, Italie.

On a recent roadtrip, this amazing group of trees caught my attention for its colour and interesting texture...awesome Autumn!

Autumn photography at one of my favourite local hiking spots. The natural cover of trees on an overcast day allowed me to get a longer exposure, creating the soft water effect without using a light-blocking camera filter. The autumn leaves are complemented by a slight orange cast created by the setting sun seeping through the forest.

The castle lies on an island in the river Svartån. The name of Örebro comes from the small stones ("ör") that the river transports. The second part of the word comes from the bridge ("bro") .

The oldest part of the castle, a defence tower, was erected in the latter half of the 13th century. It was probably built during the reign of King Magnus IV of Sweden (1316–1374). In 1364, Albrecht von Mecklenburg (ca 1340–1412) captured a fortress in Örebro. That was probably a predecessor of today's castle, which was built on the small island within the Svartå river. The fortress is supposed to have consisted of a defence tower with a surrounding wall.[2] The tower was added to in the 14th century to make a larger stronghold. Under King Charles IX of Sweden (1550–1611), the fortress was rebuilt into a Renaissance castle. Since 1764, the castle has served as the residence of the governor of Örebro County. [3]

Photo taken in Ontario, Canada during the fall.

When heading into the Cypress Swamps........might as well ride in style....eh? LoL

But....in my usual locations this year, the historical low water levels are much too shallow for my boat.....

This pic was taken of my buddy ALFRED back in the Fall of '19.

Had a real blast that weekend & obviously he got hooked on Swamp Photography......

Now....in October or November........he, his chest waders, & kayak can be spotted anywhere in the Gulf South area trudging through the Bald Cypress.....

Glad to see you're enjoying this Fall again my friend.

Thanks for taking a look..... & have a great day.

This piece is titled "Confetti" -- in the fall of 2012 I saw falling leaves as confetti, and it's stuck in my mind since. This nature-confetti was particular magical because of the contrast between the yellow leaves and the blue sky.

For Our Daily Challenge - Fiery

The perfect time of year for this challenge. This spot is a favourite of mine - in the fall - when it's foggy - I head over. It's particularly nice as the fog is burning off.

A single maple leaf caught on a railing, glowing with the colours of fall. For a moment, everything slows down — light, wind, and motion suspended in balance. Captured along Toronto’s waterfront, where even the smallest details reflect the changing season.
