I love fall. It's my favorite season, along with my favorite holiday, Halloween.

It has been unusually hot the past 2 weeks, and finally yesterday it cooled down. A lot. And I love it- I love it so much I whipped out the new vest I bought on sale over the summer that I couldn't wait to wear.

This is my fall break, so I am at home. I am getting my hair cut and highlighted tomorrow, I am working, carving a pumpkin, watching my sister's get ready for homecoming (pictures will be coming soon!) and of course, relaxing.

*sigh of relief*. It's been a long week.

Looked up and discovered a canopy of golden leaves.

K... ya caught me... yep... I was one of those kids always getting reprimanded for playing with my food... I'd stir my ice cream into 'soup', I'd make rivers of gravy and/or butter flowing down a mountain of mashed potatoes... I'd smoosh the crackers for my soup into crumbs... and apparently I STILL haven't quite grown up... playing with cookies nowadays instead! :-)

Molten Ginger Bites are popping out of the top of his head...

Another sure sign Fall is upon us... the ever-expanding tomato crop... I cannot believe all these and more came from just two Roma plants in pots on the back deck. With many more coming, I figured I'd best do something with these QUICK... so slow-roasted tomatoes here we come. A drizzle of garlic-infused EVOO, a sprinkling of oregano, parsley and finely ground black pepper, and into the oven they go... three hours from now we shall have the making of many a fine Italian-flavoured meal throughout the fall and winter months.

(Why is it that Londyn always gives me that deer in head lights look?)

Today was the first day that the girls needed to wear a jacket- or anything warm for that matter. I think our high was somewhere around 62 and windy.
