i'm always happy. always. haha.
today has been pretty super. i woke up at 1, and only left my room to take a shower. i have secluded myself from the mighty wrath of my constantly moody family, and drew faces on origami paper instead. i've also been listening to meg & dia all day.
today was a win.
I don't feel like smiling today, so I let Halle Berry do it for me. My other option was to draw a big smiley face on my belly, but I have to leave soon for the doctor and was afraid I wouldn't be able to clean it off well enough. I could only imagine lifting my shirt for her to check the baby's heartbeat to find a big dumbass grin. Maybe next time!

My daughter has the exact same look my wife has when she doesn't want her picture taken (which is all the time). I'd post a picture comparing that look to my wife - but I'd die.
I think this is one of maybe 3 or 4 photos with both kids looking at the camera at the same time.

Being the girlfriend of a boring guy with a camera in his hand shouldn't be easy. You can't do anything that he comes to bother with the camera pointing at you. It must be hard. Thank God, my girlfriend doesn't suffer from this problem ... lol!

Never trust an "I'm okay" - nobody is ever okay...
So, this is my first real entry for the Teleidoscope - "Under the rain". I hope you like it! I tried something like it the other day and completely failed, so I'm really happy that this looks at least a bit the way I imagined it ;)
Funny story: The second I started with this picture, putting on my make-up and all, "No ha parado de llover" by Maná played on my playlist. It's Spanish for "It hasn't stopped raining" - in my eyes, that is.

I actually took this picture for my art class.
I'm going to draw it for my self portrait.
I took this picture because I hate drawing jaws, I suck at it.
Oh I also took this picture because this is how I kind of feel lately, it's like if I'm not happy all the time people instantly freak out and try to make me feel better, which I guess is sweet in concept but still, it forces me to produce a fake smile most of the time.
Sometimes you just feel like being sad. End of story.
they always say SMILE as well sending messages writing emails everybody wants to tell me life is great and they SMILE even if they're very unhappy too but let's tell her to SMILE she's so naive she thinks everything is ok but it's not why should we care anyway it's funnier to be happy and cheerful let's smile then guys! smile and be happy with all the artifical smiles happiness faith and life. we're worth it, sure.
We went to a funeral Thursday. Getting out of the car at the church, these two saw each other in the parking lot and bonded instantly because they were wearing the same dress. What do you think of the plastic smiles?

Good gracious. No more smiling groups. How hard is it to take a picture of yourself smiling for not reason except that you're supposed to be smiling???
Like the fake flowers? Those came with the house and although I pretty much hate them, they sit outside on my porch anyway. I'm not sure why I keep them. Not sure what else to put there probably. ha. Plus, I kill REAL plants. So putting something there that actually needs TENDING is just not a good idea.
and yeah, it was 95 degrees today and I'm wearing a scarf. Fugger induced psychosis.
This reminds me in ALL kinds of ways of my senior portrait. I'll have to find that and take a picture of it and show ya'll. haha

I've been tagged by lalisajajoy. I just uploaded this pic to Facebook last week as part of the new "30 Days Photo Challenge," so I figured I'd use it and some of the facts I included with it for this. (I had to replace #1 and #10 with different facts because I'd already used them in previous tag pictures. :P)
1. I wanna dye my hair purple. Not ultraviolet or anything, just a sorta natural-looking plum color. I thought that's what I did when I used the stuff I got for Christmas, but now it looks more red than anything. :P
2. I used to have a pet butterfly named Jupiter when I was little. No joke.
3. I've seen visions before. 8D
4. I can't draw much of anything to save my life, but I can make cool-looking banners on Photoshop. :P
5. I love singing and dancing and music in general, yet as of now I'm not very interested in learning a musical instrument. O.o
6. Most of the pictures I've taken with my camera are close-up shots of random things. (But you already knew that, of course. :P)
7. My favorite day of the week is Saturday.
8. I've been told that I don't show my emotions on my face as much as other people do. I believe them. :P
9. I'm more of a dog person than a cat person.

It was shot using Canon digital IXUS through Rollei 35SE's view finder. In a birthday party at McDonald's. I really hate fake smiles on these posters/wall, I just like the color and was testing TTVF effect.

She's getting better about taking pictures. She still has moments of PURE HATRED, but, she's not running away and screaming every single time I take it out.
Today, she let me take a few and actually (fake) smiled for them. It only lasted about 10 minutes and then she told me to "put it away right now!"
Progress. I love it.
i asked my boss if he'd like to send me to the administrative assistants conference. he said, "yeah, with a pipe bomb." that's the spirit.

Oh so! Today!! I went shopping got two new dressies and a new sweater. Went hunting for an ADORABLE jacket and failed. Umm... waited for the bus, and waited. Found out that being around bookstore while having money is dangerous for me. EVEN WHEN I have a perfectly good book at home for me to read. ...yeah... about that Chris. Haha!! Nah! Ima read it. But okay.
Umm... Hi I'm Ariel, and I love going on bus adventures and talking to myself.
Some things you can assume about this photo:
1. I am wearing pajama bottoms. Still.
2. My hair is a mess, and I cropped the top on purpose.
3. I did throw on some makeup to not look like a total slob.
4. I don't care about any of those things.
Things you may not realize about this photo:
1. I used the CinnamonRose Tourmaline action. I just got their *ish Action package yesterday and I love it.
2. I finally got around to using the reflector I've had for months. It's amazing what a little fill light can do.
3. Even though it's turned around, I still adore my engagement ring.
4. This is the first time I've smiled today, and the title relates to that. I'm hoping smiling and some DMB will take away my state of ennui today.
5. I took this after hours of studying for the GRE. Not because I want to go to grad school, but because I want to teach GRE classes and for some reason they want me to get a good score on a practice test (psh).
6. Ennui is one of the vocab words I've memorized. Because vocab memorization is definitely an indicator of how well you'll do in grad school ... stupid tests that don't test anything.
7. I'm hungry and am going to go eat now.
