“We are nothing but shadows

Fading away

Trying to hold on to

This bittersweet life

That we call our own...”

― Ricky Mears

The idea behind this shot was to express "Resistance"; to time, to immorality, and to evanescence.

I still believe certain things (and certain people for that matter) will go on living regardless of how much decay, pain and agony surround and overwhelm their entity, soul, and perhaps their very existence.

Sometimes certain things go on living without "hope", and that is an excruciating burden that no soul should bear.

It is absolutely catastrophic how something so beautiful and pure can be dead within.

The song I chose is Foggy River:

Your love is colder than a foggy river

Rollin' on a heart of stone.

You left me stranded on this foggy river,

Cold and helpless and alone.
