Sometimes I have a really bad acne problem when things start getting stressful for me, and I've found that this is my favorite face wash for combatting that. (And I had to go through a lot to figure that out!)
My favorite part about it is that it leaves a nice minty feel on your face. I can't describe it, other than it makes your face feel cool after you use it. :)

Some months ago I was traveling by car from my home in Aalborg, Denmark to Odense. A 250 km trip. For the first time I tried to offer a lift on an online ride sharing service. Amanda happened to go the same way.
We talked about her family background in Uganda, Poland and Denmark and that she is educating as a dietitian. It also turned out that Amanda had tried a little modeling for photographers before. Of course I asked if she would like to try again and she agreed. We tried out a photo shoot in my apartment. I asked if I could spray water on her face to get that "sweaty" look. The wash bowl was something I just came up with the same morning. Fortunately I knew a second hand store where I could get one.
And that was how I met Amanda.

Yup, I'm very tough when I put on my face wash.

The objective of this week's studio shoot was simulating morning light to make morning-related product look attractive.

key light: tungsten + 1x yellow cellophane + 1x translucent plastic sheet as diffuser to diffuse only half the light, producing combination of direct (as through window) and diffused light (as in the rest of light-filled room)
placed at rear towards side, diffusion at low angle from the surface on the back to lifted just above product in front
aim for key
1. texture on towel surface
2. metal texture on shaver head (copper colour piece on top) using direct reflection of diffused soft light
3. stylise the soap
fill light: tungsten - large cloth diffuser on camera position (right)

1. reduce the contrast on rear-lit product
2. bring out the chrome parts of the product handle
The fill is more effective in this final shot with regards to bringing out the detail on the chrome shape.
