This inspirational necklace features an oval disc of fine silver, which I formed by hand using PMC (precious metal clay). The quote was inscribed before the piece was kiln fired. It is accompanied by a rich purple amethyst and a pale green prasiolite trillion, both wrapped in oxidized sterling silver. Each gem sparkles in contrast to the soft dark gray disc. They hang from a sterling silver oval rolo chain, which closes with small pink rhodolite garnet rondelles and one of my hand-forged sterling clasps. Each metal component has been oxidized and gently buffed by hand to a soft gray patina to accentuate the lettering. Though a lovely gift for anyone in need of inspiration, this would be a wonderful gift for a graduating student.
