Macro Mondays theme Jewelry
The faceted stones of my favourite necklace photographed lying across the top of the petals of a pink peony flower.
Jewelry or jewellery? This is confusing as I would never spell it that way. Jewellery is the correct spelling in Britain (and in Australia)... which to me is obviously the correct way (even though I am severely dyslexic) 😊

A custom version of my Nothing But Flowers Ring. This one sports a 3mm moonstone cab, a 5mm labradorite cab, and a faceted 6mm rainbow topaz set within a flower border. Each of the stones spins around the ring and can be rearranged. It is 3/8" wide.
15/365: Picked up these lovely handmade earrings at a market yesterday. I just love the miniature freshwater pearls, they're rather endearing.
This was a recent custom order. It is my usual sunflower wedding band/engagement ring set but with a 7 x 5mm moissanite in place of the 3mm round stone that I usually use. While I would normally use a flat-bottomed bezel set on top of the band for a ring like this, I had to raise the stone up just a bit to allow it to be worn with the wedding band. These are sterling silver with 14k rose gold linings.

I'm shooting some inventory.... These are great for jewelry. Most are for sale but I prefer to sell groups, not individual stones.
This is based on my normal sunflower wedding band / engagement ring set but both rings are 3/16" wide (approximately 4mm). I made the engagement ring wider to accommodate the bigger stone. I set the stone in a conical tube setting that sits up on top of the band to allow the two rings to be worn together, flush to each other. The rings are made in sterling silver with a 14k rose gold lining.
A variation on my usual sterling silver and riveted titanium panel ring. This one features a tube-set 4mm faceted white sapphire set in the center of one of the hammered panels.
This was a custom order and I believe it will be a man's engagement ring.
This custom set features a fingerprint pattern on the bands and a 5mm moissanite on the engagement ring. Both rings are sterling silver lined with 14k rose gold. I tube-set the stone in an extra deep cupped disk to make it the central focus of the set.
My daughter faceted this beautiful yellow citrine which I then set in a hand fabricated sterling silver setting.
Large top chrome green color, but no not a chrome, of 18.70 cts in size. Bought the rough from an estate some time back and there was no documentation or origin but who cares when it looks like this one does.
This pendant is an attempt to take my line in a more elegant direction. It features a 3/4" sterling square with a patterned brass forget me not accent on top. Joining the square and the curved tube bail above it is a faceted 3mm tube-set citrine.
I really like the way this turned out and I like the combination of the patterned brass and the yellow/orange citrine.

At last I am doing some real silversmithing! I took a wonderful class from Jennifer Stenhouse learning new techniques for setting stones. This came from a prong setting class. As you can see I did not use any prongs instead I manipulated the idea and made it my own. If you have the opportunity take a class from this talented teacher you will learn so much!! Pratt or Danaca Designs in Seattle offer classes from many great teachers!

Inspired by ancient Greek "hydria", water vessel...this amazing pendant is formed into the shape of the vessel with the bale being the handles.

This amazing fused dichroic glass ring has been created with several layers of dichroic glass and hand beveled or faceted into this Pyramid shape. I then polished it and adhered it to a Sterling Silver adjustable ring base.
I also create lovely beveled or faceted dichroic glass pendants.
These are very old hand cut Yellow Topaz - not Citrine - Had I known it would become so hard to find genuine Yellow Topaz not Citrine substituted , I would have bought more when I had the chance - yea yea i know 20/20 hindsight :))
