This large marsh grasshopper (Mecostethus grossus) female conveyed pretty effectively what she thought about my photography technique when I met her at a miniature golf course.

Yep, it's the Toronto Copper Cowboy. I happend upon him months ago.
And now we're working together on an event for a client. Weird eh? The only difference now is that he's in GOLD not copper.
Great guy, and it amazes me how people will walk by him and not realize he's an actual person. *facepalm* To his credit, he does a great job.

This is a test shot. I am experimenting with reflections in a mirror, and trying out ways to get the angles and perspectives right (in Second Life). This looks pretty much right to me.
EDIT: ... especially after I remembered to flip the image in the mirror. *facepalms*

Happy, uhh, New Year? Is it happy? I don't know. It is a "new year," though. I haven't posted much in past few weeks because there hasn't been much snow (except for the day I forgot to take my camera *facepalm emoji*) and, as everyone knows, things have been pretty weird here in the good old USA. It's not all bad, though. So far I've stayed healthy, I've been able to ski (mostly groomers), ride my bike and I've got plenty of work. And on Saturday, this happened while I was working at Alta - a wonderful mountain sundog! Being outdoors in the mountains and desert is my therapy and salvation.
I was wondering why yesterday's photos were so crummy, but I just realized I forgot to change the ISO on my camera *facepalm* Here's a better version of yesterday's picture, taken today xP
