Perched on a hilltop behind Baños, just beyond the village of Runtún, this grassy viewpoint is a photographer's dream.
As well as a pretty tree house, there are several swings where you can whoosh over the precipice, making for fabulous shots.
On a clear day like this one, I could see Volcán Tungurahua.
I touched the sun, the biggest star!

The beach is good sandy but windy bay, a lot of fish. Swam with mascai along the coral was fabulous shot a lot of video. The rest of the Barcelo Tiran Sharm is low level. To be honest, the minuses of the hotel for me outweigh the pluses.

I have so many fabulous shots of these little birds that I am spoilt for choice. So be prepared there may be many more to come.!!
I really like the way in which two of the wing feathers shows just underneath the tail feathers in this shot.
Many thanks for the faves and comments, they are all very much appreciated.
This Fabulous shot was taken by Louize last summer over the river Thames at Erith in Kent just a mile from home, super colours and those gorgeous light rays, she got top marks awarded for this in a photographic competition last year!
A wander through the Werribee River Park this morning yielded three confirmed lifers, and a possible fourth, along with some other fabulous shots. I have chosen to post the three lifers today.

I've been having some fun in the garden with the macro lens lately :)
I don't seem to be able to access any Flickr photos that were posted more than 24 hours ago - apologies if I've missed several days worth of your fabulous shots. The issue is affecting my iPhone, iPad and PC so I'm guessing it's them and not me!
A morning stroll along the Laverton Creek was very pleasant and yielded some fabulous shots. I will have to sort through them all.

Not a fabulous shot, but it's the one I got! (clouds covered the start and end of the eclipse). I decided I like the moon when there's the very tiny sliver of white light on the edge of the moon, just before total eclipse.

We started the year with some fabulous shots including this tiny Pacific Pygmy-Owl that landed a mere 6 feet away.

Bonding with nature and capturing the right moment and detail have always been a challenge for me.
This is the last sunset of 2019 as seen through the Window from the Basin in Big Bend National Park. This is looking down into the desert from the mountains.
Whew! Made it through one more year of 365. I am going to take a break in 2020. I have loved all your photos and will continue to look in at your fabulous shots!
Happy New Year!
Olchore - Zebra Plains Mara Camp, Masai Mara, Kenya, February 2019.
This male Cheetah was resting in some long grass when we first saw him, so at a safe distance we waited patiently to see what his next move would be.
Elena Chelysheva from the Cheetah Project- Mara-Maru was in the only other vehicle there and she confirmed for us that this Male Cheetah was indeed " Olchore".
Along with Elena we followed "Olchore" for some distance. The sun was beginning to set and the Mara had been transformed by this beautiful golden light.
Needless to say I managed to get some fabulous shots of "Olchore" through the long grass with the sun illuminating those beautiful eyes.

Neighborhood Bully decided to hide in the grass from me.
He was very aware of my presence.
I really like him!
I see plenty of fabulous shots of butterflies, their wings open displaying natural beauty. This one flatly refused to give me anything but a head on view but there's something about this image I like.
There are a number of falls in the Columbia river Gorge that are 'famous' in that one sees so many photos of them. Multnomah Falls seems to be the most prominent among them, and I'm sure we have all seen fabulous shots of it, with its poetic bridge [which is a footbridge, not a road]. These shots are not fabulous, but they do hint at the majesty of the waterfalls of the Gorge, I hope.
During Holy Week, I walked very evening between a pair of the group of village churches where I am currently ministering, with my camera. Earlier in the week, I got some fabulous shots; Wednesday night, however, was grey and wet as I walked from Worton to Bulkington (near Devizes in Wiltshire). This splodge of colour on the banks of the Semington Brook at Marston was the nearest thing to an interesting photo I found on a wet walk on a flat route on a dull evening.
This was taken on an early spring day very soon after the park opened for the season...it is a lovely area of the park.
Oxbow Bend is one of the most visually impressive places in Grand Teton National Park. Oxbow Bend is a wide and shallow horseshoe-shaped curve in the Snake River formed by the gradual erosion of the river’s banks.
Visitors flock to this viewpoint to enjoy the uninterrupted views of 12,605-foot-tall (3,842-meter) Mount Moran. On clear and sunny days, the mountain and its surrounding forest-covered valley mirror elegantly in the water to create an iconic image of the national park.
This year has been quite an experience...the first six months taking care of the needs of my friend who had a stroke...she is doing beautifully now I am happy to say, then a terrible health challenge with my husband with what was finally diagnosed as acute eosinophilic pneumonia. This is extremely rare, only about 200 reported cases, so it took awhile to track down what was going on. His condition can be read about at rarediseases.org....just type in eosinophilic pneumonia. He has completely recovered now, but it was an experience we don't care to repeat!
So that's why I haven't been around much. With the changes to Flickr, I am sure I will still be active, but will no longer be able to justify the expense of a pro account, so my posts will be less frequent. Anyway, I hope to continue to enjoy looking at all the fabulous shots my Flickr friend post and maybe I will actually be able to catch up with you now!

Froze in 1/4000 sec, rain drop just like ice sand.
To capture an exceptional image of a bird in motion sometimes means the photographer needs to ignore unexpected weather condition. This shot was taken at a 1/4000 second speed in the pouring rain. The raindrops and the flying bird gave a perfect composition of Mother Nature in motion.
